If they want to deal with the problem of underemployment by convicted felons, they just need to pass a law banning the checkbox on employment applications that has to be checked if an applicant has been convicted of a felony.

Last time, the census taker threatened me with jail for not completing the ACS. I then asked him if his wife had sufficient life insurance on him to be going around making threats like that. He was a dumbass but he got the drift and went away.

A friend worked as a census taker in West Virginia. Down in the holler, people would point down a road and advise him not to go that way, because census takers never came back when they went down that road.

In 2000, they wanted to know how many toilets I had. They seemed to think that 317 wasn't a good answer but I denied them entry to count them.
