I think the defense is also pushing the idea that the cop was MUCH smaller than Floyd. That is what some of the questions seemed to be aimed towards. Smaller guy had to use that force cause Floyd was a vicious giant. Or might be that smaller guy couldn’t have put enough pressure on a big guy. That seemed like where it was heading with questions about weight class.

I have asthma, so theoretically if someone shot me in the chest (or knelt on my neck) they could always claim that I stopped breathing because of my underlying condition. If they did an autopsy, they would likely find painkillers and antidepressants in my system, which they could also cite as 'contributing factors'. The fact that I, like George Floyd, was doing just fine before being attacked, despite all of those factors, should be obvious to any reasonable person. I'm lucky enough to be a white Canadian female, instead of a Black American male, so I'll probably never have to find out.
