Hey, kids, let's take a break from all the worry about voter suppression and screwy voting machines and give a big round of applause to Galicia Malone, 21, who, despite having labor contractions 5 minutes apart, stopped by her local polling place in the Chicago suburb of Dolton to cast her first-ever vote in a presidential election, before continuing on to the hospital. Congrats to Mom and baby!
yeah this is bizarre. bbc's been my home page since like...the internet started and until the past year or so (maybe a little longer? i am older than the internet so it's hard to remember) it's taken a hard shift right on america and esp on bamz (and especially mark mardell).
and the whole reason they are my home page is b/c they supposedly offer a softer, more eurotrash-y perspective.
I can sympathize with Galicia. I had to put 45 cents worth of stamps on my ballot, and then walk it all the way down to the mailbox.

Congrats to baby Michelle Hussein Malone.
Lori Grimes had only the second most interesting childbirth this week.
