His "first term" was less than two and a half years. Considering that if he had won the 1976 election, he could've run ( and served ) in 1980 also - so it's kinda hard for me to consider Ford was running for a second term in 1976.

Chris Christie is a corrupt Republican ex-governor, Liz Cheney is a dyed in the wool hard core conservative but both got a burr under their butts about TFG and have sacrificed any future they have in politics to oppose Trump.
