"...Pardoning obvious crook Richard Nixon might’ve cost Gerald Ford a second term"
His "first term" was less than two and a half years. Considering that if he had won the 1976 election, he could've run ( and served ) in 1980 also - so it's kinda hard for me to consider Ford was running for a second term in 1976.
He could not have run in 1980 if he'd won in 1976. The 22nd amendment only allows someone who inherits the Presidency to run twice if he served less than half the term to which someone else was elected, so LBJ could have gotten two and a fraction terms but Ford was out of luck.
Sununu is a poser as well. He admitted in an interview this summer that if Trump is the nominee come November, he’ll vote for him. Methinks that Sununu is running to be Haley’s Veep, should she somehow manage to come out on top.
There is a new election fraud report some (Laura Loomer) call determinative. Others (me) call it an anonymous, poorly sourced rehash of all the existing conspiracy theories of the last three years.
Willie Sutton could have parsed this well: it's about where the money is.
Neither Christie nor Haley thinks that they can beat Trump in the overall primary sum or that he would pick either of them as Veep so they could try to wait out death-by-hamberder.
What they both want is a war chest they can keep for 2028 when they think that MAGAT fever will be over and the base will be thirsting for a "regular Republican" to go against Harris and Whitmer and Newsom and the rest.
Of course, that assumption assumes facts not in evidence but the game of Continue For Cash will play until one or the other's donors dry up.
Why do people ask Chris Sununu’s opinion? Is it because he plays a “moderate” republican on TV or is it because his last name is “Sununu” and the media desperately wants to make “Sununu” happen like it’s fetch or something?
“I think [Haley] was talking more to the freedoms and liberties that we want for every American and the lessons that come out of that going forward,”
Okay, Gov. Sununu, can we sort of finish the though? WHAT freedoms? In the context of the Civil War? The freedom to continue enslaving Black people? Perhaps the freedom of Black people from enslavement? The only way to properly describe what freedoms you mean is by speaking the word: enslavement.
Chris Christie is a corrupt Republican ex-governor, Liz Cheney is a dyed in the wool hard core conservative but both got a burr under their butts about TFG and have sacrificed any future they have in politics to oppose Trump. They should be congratulayed for that, but never forget that they are Republicans in every other aspect.
"Gish Gallop" (presentation of a stream of false claims in a forum which doesn't allow for each one to be individually and properly rebutted) should properly be capitalized as it was named after the rhetorical tactics of American creationist Duane Gish by NCSE scientist Eugenie Scott in 2004.
the Gish Gallop is not entirely unlike the Chewbacca defense, first seen on South park episode 214;
"Gerald (Whispering): Dammit. […] He’s using the Chewbacca defense.
Johnny Cochrane: Why would a Wooky, an eight-foot-tall Wooky, want to live on Endor with a bunch of two-foot-tall Ewoks. That does not make sense. […] It does not make sense. Look at me. I’m a lawyer defending a major record company and I’m talkin’ about Chewbacca. Does that make sense? Ladies and Gentlemen I’m am not making any sense. None of this makes sense. And so you have to remember when you’re in that jury room deliberating and conjugating the Emancipation Proclamation, does it make sense? No. Ladies and Gentlemen of this deposed jury it does not make sense. If Chewbacca lives on Endor you must acquit. The defense rests."

Your humorous hyperlinks are a hoot!
Ta, Evan. Could that be the famous and infamous Babby Axl?
None other!
Unfortunately I think Haley may benefit in the Republican primary by not calling out slavery.
Which is why she didn't call out slavery.
I KNOW THAT KITTEH IN THE PIC! BABBY AXL!
I was squinting hard, and it still didn't look like Nikki Haley. Thanks for clearing that up!
She was kind of catty while Vivek was still around

Love that clip of Christie's face even though it isn't a kitty. He reminds me of plaid shirt guy.

Uh, that last pic is not a cat.
I hereby file a formal protest, forthwith, henceforth, notwithstanding.
-cat pic police, self appointed.

(He’s also pointed out that she won’t even categorically refuse to serve as Trump’s vice president.)
Trump calls her “birdbrain” but somehow, that’s not a deal breaker for Nikki and her squeezably soft spine.

I think it's because he is just slightly less of an asshole then his father.
Chris Sununu is the Andrew Cuomo of ...
"I’m personally going to make Haley wish she’d just had her own private email server." THIS MADE MY DAY!!

That would be the freedom to pretend that slavery never happened, and Jefferson Davis was a southern gentleman with fine manners.
Yeah, that is dumb...always "Freedomz"
Exactly!

Upfist for Eugenie. A real fighter
Lillian Gish heaves a deep sigh of relief.
