"persecuting Christians"?

Err, in what way is "mocking hypocrites" the same as "persecuting Christians"? How many Christians has this post prevented from getting a job, or evicted from homes, or put in jail? How many Christians have even been been kept from worshiping according to their accustomed practice by this post?

You would agree, wouldn't you, that Rep. Courser's claiming to be a fundamentalist Christian who supports traditional marriage and then having an affair -- and then lying about it -- is just a tad hypocritical?

Also, "tolerance" means putting up with something you don't like, not embracing it, or even refraining from criticizing it. It means not banning books by authors you disagree with from the public library, or shooting people who provide medical services you believe to be immoral.

You seem not to really understand what freedom of speech even means. Here is a brief reminder:

Here's a shortcut, assuming you use Windows (if you're on a Mac, I can't help yez): take a screenshot with ctrl-Print screen, which saves it to your clipboard, then edit/crop in good old MS Paint.

This is why I love conservatives and christians too. They are so progressive, compassionate and not getting bogged down with the little things in life. They screw up, they get caught, say they're sorry. Some rightwing media type says "Mistakes were made..." and it's all water under the bridge. Such fine fine folks. I wish we could all be as big a person as these great people.

Yeah, it's her. But she needed to stay on life support in case her brain grew back. It happens all the time. We can't know Gawd's ways! We don't know if Gawd is going to perform a miracle! Right?

The advantage of the "hard decisions" route is that you get to ask God to make the decision. And surprise! God always tells you to make the choice you really wanted. Every time.

You said it earlier and better than I did, House. I apologize for stepping on your line.

I think Voltaire used a slightly altered Candida already. One of the French Enlightenment authors, anyway.

I often wonder what material the ban hammer is made of. Also how do you know exactly how much force is necessary to get the job done.
