Next they could try Trump’s universal bleach therapy.

Some of my friends are worried about me when I use the word "rage".

Is this how they are going to kill Social Security? Make it impossible to live long enough to receive it?

Ta, Robyn. I nearly died of measles in 1960, before the MMR vaccine. Fortunately, my mother, of blessed and cursed memory, was a nursing aide during WWII and knew to put me in a tub full of cold water and ice to bring down my core temperature, or I would not be noncommenting here today. I guess dead and injured kids is a small price to pay for a certain segment of the populace.

Come on people, be fair. RFKJr is just trying to decrease the surplus population. No bid deal, right?

Autism. Autism is what they think is worse than a lingering, painful death

RRJKR's avatar

Saying vaccines cause autism is so far fetched I'd sooner believe it was caused by ETs.

I had measles in 1958 pre-vaccine. It almost killed me. The Priest was called to administer Last Rights, but I recovered. It's a serious disease.

Yes, and here is a little information about this also. https://youtube.com/shorts/PKB9rfwTcV4?feature=shared

I was horrified when I heard people recommending high doses of vitamin A. Vitamin A is one of the few supplements you can actually OD on, and cause serious harm, especially in children.

“Kennedy said he’d heard tell of an “almost miraculous and instantaneous recovery” Anyone remember hearing that “almost miraculous & instantaneous recovery? Think Covid 19

people who do this should have their children taken away from them and placed into the care of a responsible adult who doesn't do woo woo science shit - it should be automatic, mandatory and fuck of with their religious beliefs shit - your religion should not entitle you to hurt others, and especially not your children

Personally, I think you should have to pass the same rigorous tests that adoptive parents do to have your own kids. I know, I know, personal freedoms, but it irks me to see people with kids who couldn't pass muster to adopt a puppy.

When it comes to certain "comestibles" I am morbidly curious about their origins. Take Cod Liver Oil, or Blood Sausage, or Calf Brain, or Stuffed Crust Pizza, or other mysteries. How were they discovered? Who first put it in their mouth? Why did its consumption continue? Were resources at times so dire that someone looked at a lamb and thought "I'll eat its balls?"

Lobster's the one for me. Someone had to grab one of those things out of the water, give it a good look, and say, "I wonder what these taste like?"

I still struggle to believe that people eat 🐢!

Waste not, want not. If you went to the trouble to raise an animal for its meat - especially if you were a peasant with insecure access to food - you're going to use as much of the animal as you can - bones for soups and fertilizer, skins for leather, fats for cooking, lighting, and soap, and every edible bit of the carcass. A lot of organ meats are perishable and can't be easily preserved (that's why sausages were invented) - brains, for example, contain a lot of fat and need to be consumed quickly. It's a fairly modern - and I think American - belief that only the muscle meats should be eaten.

Hank Napkin's avatar

Really doesn’t answer the question, though. Does it? Who first looked at a lamb and thought “I’ll eat its balls?”

I believe his name was Oork circa 55,000 BCE
