CIA Director John Brennan held a press conference today to respond to the Senate Intelligence Committee's report on torture during the Bush administration, and he gave a very clear message: The CIA is good, torture is bad, it's hard to say whether torture led to useful intelligence, but it definitely helped find Osama bin Ladin, and it was a long time ago so can we please just look to the future please?
It seems to me that all the legal guys that gave the thumbs up to the torturing are now teaching at universities and influencing malleable young minds. Frightening no?
I can hear Hermann Göring now: "OK, fine: It was wrong and we shouldn't have done it. Now can we all just shut up about it?"
That worked really well for him, didn't it?
There exists a (depraved) group for whom torture is not wrong and immoral, although its revelation to the public is. There is a (depraved) group for whom the foreign policies of the Bush Administration, specifically including the Iraq war, are not wrong, disastrous and immoral, but the criticism of them is. There seems to be a 1:1 correspondence of these groups. That's what you're paid to do, you jackass. Glad to know you got some of it right. Now can we get back to the topic at hand?

CIA torture of possible terrorists prevented terrorist attacks - and the moon from crashing into the earth.
"These methods provided us with valuble intel which, conveniently for security reasons, I cannot divulge. But take my word for it!"
