If he's so fucking brilliant, why is he giving picks away on a TV show dressed like shit? It's like when I go to the track, the dude at the bar in the faded 1998 Hollywood Gold Cup T-Shirt tells everybody "It's the 8, the 8 will win this," I scratch that number off my program.

That's why I've been with a local credit union for 30 years and have never had a single problem.

My agency is something like that. My boss really cares about his employees and makes sure we know he has our backs and we have each others' backs. My department has VERY low turnover compared to others in the same agency. Those directors appear to mainly be in it for themselves and they treat their employees like shit.

Wall Street should hope Warren wins. What she is going to do is save them from themselves. We all remember what happens when they are left unsupervised.

I coordinate business meetings for a living, and know a lot of people who also do.

In Spring of 2009, Wells was scheduled to hold a big meeting for about 4000 of their people in Las Vegas. A couple I know creates presentation graphics. They had worked for 2 full months visualizing Wells executives' speeches. Then Wells cancelled the meeting, about 2 months out. They blamed President Obama's comments about banks holding expensive meetings in Las Vegas (much of Las Vegas held that comment against him).

Wells cancelled, and refused to pay for work to date. My friends lost the 2 months of work they had done. The agency that had hired them ended up folding. They didn't get paid at all.

They had a mortgage with Wells. They called and asked if, since it was Wells that hadn't paid them, could Wells work with them for a couple months on the mortgage payments. Wells told them to not pay at all the next month, and then pay 1/2 the second month, then back to normal. Fine, they said. The day after the first payment wasn't made, they got a foreclosure notice. Mind you, it took years for most borrowers to not-pay before they got foreclosed. Wells set them up.

Needless to say, they went to a local credit union and refinanced. So much for Wells Fargo. Fuck 'em indeed.

We've got two banks, not that we have that much money, but...One is a local credit union, and while the fees are low and the people are OK (at best), they screw things up regularly and their Tech sucks, which as an old Tech guy, drives me crazy. And they have no interest in any suggestions or ideas I have to help them resolve their shitty, ancient systems. So we have a Chase account as well, because I get it free for showing them my veteran DD214, and because there's one around the corner, which is nice when the credit union is down (see shitty ancient Tech, above.)

We re-fied our Wells Fargo mortgage with a different company, and the following month WF bought the mortgage from the other company.

I belong to a credit union that started out as for employees at my dad's old job. I qualified as family. Then, it got bought (?) & changed names. They have a handful of branch offices, all in far suburbs. The one nearest my job has closed. The only one on my side of town has also closed. I think theres still a functional branch kinda near my job, but im not sure cause their hours coincide exactly with when im at work.

I confess im a wee bit concerned about my savings account.

I remember Jon Stewart’s takedown of Cramer. It was a thing of beauty.I often find myself wondering why Wells Fargo is still in business. I know it’s a legacy company, but damned if I’ll ever do business with them again.
