Pretty disappointed with South Park selling out to Paramount+.

But it would be funny if Colbert became a central character.

Trump will demand Shari pay off Steven's contract and be rid of him.

Then the fun really starts.

I do hope and expect that Colbert's People are already lining up his next gig. Wherever he lands is likely to find a goldmine landed in their yard along with him; but they also ought to be prepared to get his new gig up and running at virtually a moment's notice. Because honestly, I don't see tRumplethinskin's ego surviving ten months of Mr Stephen pulling zero punches.

How stupid can CBS be? When you fire someone, you immediately escort him off the premises. You don't let him stick around for another 10 months to say whatever he feels like about you (which, since you have fired him, is not going to be very nice).

I look for them to replace Colbert sooner with a much less controversial host, change the format and spend big bucks on major talent, that Trump likes. Ratings and ad revenue will bump up slightly, proving it was the right move. Colbert fans will be pissed for a few weeks

The tRumpers don't stay up that late and CBS/Paramount will have to resort to Johnny Carson episodes that seem to be all over local networks that are too cheap, or lazy, to spawn their own shows.

I used to catch a monologue of the Late Show once or twice a week on YouTube. I don't really watch much TV because I live over seas and there's a 9 hour time difference with NYC.

But now you've forced me to buy a new big screen and get a satellite service so I can record EVERY FUCKING EPISODE! Oh, and Donnie......GO FUCK YOURSELF!!!!!!!!

Well, what with the "Epstein Files" chaos, Colbert's show may outlast Donald's shitty dictatorship. He really could get pushed out of office over this. Congress's early adjournment and recess today can only make the MAGA types angrier, so, good move, Mr. Speaker! Please proceed. Wouldn't it be great to see the headline, "Donald Trump forced by his own party to resign in disgrace"? The GOP has already gotten their use from him in that he has implemented much of Project 2025. His sordid scandals and increasing incoherence are a serious liability for them.

I'm waiting for Colbert to say, “If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.”

Colbert has pointed out that he's been a Star Wars fan two weeks longer than anyone else after winning tickets in a radio contest to see Episode IV two weeks before it was released in the theaters.

John Stewart then staged a truly John Oliver Emmy-award nomination deserving gospel choir musical finale to his "Fuck you Paramount" (also HIS bosses) monologue. Outstanding!

So. Fucking. Tired. Of. Rich. People.

Fuck them all. Some new firm just took over the dispensary where my daughter works. It was a great place to work. Good salary, small benefits package, incentive programs, and generally a friendly atmosphere. New company bulldozed it's way in by remodeling and changing the entire business model. They're doing all sorts of "training" that all comes right out of some corporate legal department.

It's obviously a company with no interest in the industry, they just see a vehicle to make money so they're going to squeeze everything out of this one. And obviously they know more about running the business than folks who've worked in the industry for years. After all, they're rich.

She really loved that job.

Fuck, I'm sorry to hear that. Fuck them all indeed. With a shit-encrusted rusty spork on a bed of broken glass. Wear gloves while jamming that spork in their orifices, you don't know where they've been.

I hope your daughter lands on her feet, maybe even set up a competing dispensary?

Oh, she'll be alright. She's going to ride it out for a little while and she's resilient. But this is now the 2nd time she's started a great job that's gone downhill after a change in management.

Knowing Trump, he would probably tell Redstone to fire Colbert now, and then disapprove the merger after all, because they used to have Colbert on their network.
