What percentsage of students will actually want to carry a fucking gun around on campus? Macho assholes with compensation issues are a fact of life, but how many are cretinous enough to lug around a pistol every day? Seems to me that waiting and hoping for the next UVa shooter to pop up in one of your classes would get old after a while. Between that, and the surprising discovery that the chicks are not interested in fondling your manly weapon, the whole thing should boil down to the few preppernutters who carry just to make a pointless point.
