My daughter was looking over my shoulder and pointed out that $600 will buy unemployed, desperate people a gun. She was quick to point out that she was not offering advice, simply clarifying that the GOP was providing options that they were not aware of, and motivating people in unexpected directions.
"If Rs hold the Senate, there's a good chance McConnell will demand his absolutely terrible COVID-19 liability protections for corporations be part of the deal;..."
Would McConnell's liability shield protect a meat packer whose managers placed bets on the number of employees who would die of CV19 (and also required those employees to come to work even though avoidance measures were not being enforced)? Because if it would, why aren't Democrats raising a large stink about it?
I'm wondering what hellish anti-labor lessons corporations are going to learn from this. Are they going to force everyone to turn a portion of their home into an office? Why pay for internet and electricity and real estate when you can make your work force shoulder the burden of those costs?
Taxpayers are paying Bethany Christian Services a company with ties to the DeVos family $700 a day to house children that we stole and who then turn around and claim huge fee's adopting those kids out. Our Covid relief for 2020 amounted to less than $5 a day. Do we get it now? Tax dollars are to be distributed to the rich not to the tax payers.
This whole ordeal is illustrative of the principle that you should never allow a Republican to attempt to stimulate your package.
And you can make a blade from any old rusty hunk of steel, as long as it’s heavy enough. It’s not like they’re gonna have to worry about tetanus....

Another person pointed out that $600 could buyca round trip ticket to DC, a bag of gravel and a pack of tube socks.
Always, always, projection. That's why I find it far fetched but not too far fetched that McConnell might have stolen his election this year.

Right?!
I thought we all agreed they were effective, they just weren't our allies.

Too busy uniting the country, reaching across the aisles, the fever will break, yada yada yada.
People in WI split their 2016 vote between Trump and (lesbian, democratic) Tammy Baldwin. So, I wouldn't rule it out.
That bit really didn't get enough play in our broken media.
Can't democrats just write some stuff into the margins like the republicans did with their tax relief for the rich bill?
I was lucky to get Americorps money when I joined the Teaching Fellows. Went right to my loans.
