It has been very jolly watching flat-out made-up libels rampage all over Facebook -- like "Hillary Clinton runs child sex ring"(thanks Wikileaks!) and"Obama's mother-in-law getting $160,000 pension!!!1!" (NOPE). It has also been very happy watching your Wonkette's own traffic slide because we do not make things up : (
But...I don't want to be nice to the Trump people yet! Can't I have just a few more days of self-righteous whining and despair? My tantrum was just picking up speed.
WOW!! Many, many thanks for this. I am looking for the way ahead in these peculiar times, and this essay is a keeper. I can whine real good, but it's just a hobby. Dealing with the real world is a never ending, never dull full time job. Thanks again.
uhhh...hairy legs? i believe that is one discussion i wouldn't want to have in scotland, having wondered what the difference is myself, and not really seeing one.
I keep hearing how influential they are. And yet I can't seem to find a single left-leaning individual who can name a single issue on which they've been influenced by them.
Influential means 'altering peoples opinions', not 'pandering to existing prejudices'.
So I'll ask you again. If they're so good at influencing people, please give me ONE example of an issue in which they've convinced you of something. Just one.
Here's one that's going to blow your mind. Jill Stein is formally requesting recounts in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/gr...In 2004, it was the also Greens (along with Libertarians) who coughed up the dough to launch a challenge in Ohio, when Kerry and the Dems fizzled out.
It seems like not many people read much these days (she croaked) and certainly don't read widely. I used to read basically anything I could get my hands on, which sometimes got me in trouble, but I feel like it explains why I seem to be the only one in my family who is not gullible.
I should add that we are not American and all have at least university-level education, so we're not necessarily 'typical'... AND YET.
"now you understand the case for Scottish independence."
I believe the fact that their neighbours to the south went full Teabag makes a slightly better case for that...

Presumably this is one of the white working-class people that we keep being told is (mostly) responsible for getting Trump elected?

At least someone's doing it... Did Clinton drop the ball, or what?
I really don't like electronic-only voting... It's a super-bad idea.
Conversely, he could get a "job".
