Old friend of my late sister wore an eyepatch, and tinted shades as well (more like goggles). He had an auto-immune disorder that was slowly rendering him blind, had already lost the sight in his L eye, and bc of intense reaction to irritants due to the disease, doc had sewed the L eye shut. He wore a patch allatime -- but bc he was a big dude (and I mean really big -- 6'4", 260 lbs) -- ain't nobody give him any shit about it. But then, he didn't look like a cosplaying dumbass, so there's that.

As Eugene Robinson remarked this morning on MSNBC, "If you or I had been doing that (ignoring calls to return classified docs), we would be UNDER the jail !"

And when he DOES feel actively threatened? Yup, same answer.

There you go with your librul college "economics". Jobs are created when ultra rich billionaires who pay no taxes buy yachts built offshore then hire minimum wage workers to keep it shiny and pretty for when they take their mistresses on weekend jaunts to the Cayman Islands.

No Fucks Left™ Liz Cheney is the best Liz Cheney.

(Which still isn't very good, on every other topic except this one.)

What if that employer is the one that procured the SS number in order to hide that they have multiple undocumented immigrants working and living as slaves? The conditions attached to those setups are inhumane and not rare. I live in farm country and know about how frequently these things are accidentally discovered. People live in “camps” that are provided by the employer, with no transportation access, food, healthcare, or communication. They are basically trapped once they agree to participate in the stolen identity setup. It’s human trafficking on top of illegal labor on top of identity theft. You don’t want to risk being associated.

We did have two consecutive quarters of slowing GDP growth -- slower growth, not reduction -- which usually signifies the start of a recession. But none of the other indicators of a recession were present.

A reminder Jake Tapper jumped on the outrage bandwagon when Pete Davidson made the joke he did about Crenshaw so him slobbering over him isn't anything new.
