"The word abortion does not appear in the Constitution."

Neither do the words God, Jesus, Christianity, or theocracy.

Ironically, Ms Barrett was a protegé of Antonin Scalia (she clerked for him), the author of the DC v Heller, 07–290 (2008) ruling, wherein he affirmed the power of government to control both who may own/possess a firearm and the commercial sales of arms, essentially supporting the premises of the 1994 Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act and the now-lapsed Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994, a "...United States federal law which included a prohibition on the manufacture for civilian use of certain semi-automatic firearms that were defined as assault weapons as well as certain ammunition magazines that were defined as "large capacity"", while also noting that no right is absolute. The doctrine of compelling government interest and its so-called "time and place" adjunct allow certain restrictions of civil rights based on the concept of the "greater good."The gunnutterz just don't comprehend these facts.

Handbills printed on a hand-operated press are cool, also.

Lowbrow shitbirds on the right don't realize that Roe v Wade established the right to privacy for everyone. Which means that if its overturned, Cletus may not be able to buy his guns without a full background check, or be allowed to watch "Step-sister Helps Me with my Boner Problem" on the PornHub.

In fact, we don't even have a federal right to vote, so it's not even close!

This is probably the story: She gets hired by some wealthy dude to makeover a local bootlicker for a campaign. Old white moneybags thinks "I'll bet these mouthbreathers would vote for a hot looking chick like Marsha" and a star is born. Either that or she blew him..

One would think that given their white supremacist views and love of eugenics, that the right wing would not only be pro-abortion, but complete natalists.

Given the fact that the vast majority of Dems I know own guns, it would probably behoove the whole party to not pretend that only Republicans are gun owners.

My Dem State Assemblywoman sold me my handgun, ferchrissakes. We don't all live in DC and California.

Abortion banned soon, next: birth control. And I remember well that many common sex practices used to be illegal. Oral sex was one. My lawyer gf at the time used to enjoy saying, "let's commit crimes against nature." Wait till the cult finds out the theocracy can ban blow jobs.

Well, there's some kind of federal right to vote. I haven't examined its contours, but

15th: The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State

19th: The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.

and

24th: The right of citizens of the United States to vote in any primary or other election for President or Vice President, for electors for President or Vice President, or for Senator or Representative in Congress, shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or any State by reason of failure to pay poll tax or other tax.

make no sense at all unless there's a right to vote that could possibly be denied or abridged.

Maybe you're a US lawyer and can explain the distinction between a right explicitly named in the constitution 3 times FOUR times (forgot the 26th, whoops!) and a right that doesn't exist, but from Canada, however that right has been interpreted & however flimsy its protections might be, it sure looks like such a right exists.
