Police in Tulsa, Oklahoma, shot and killed an unarmed black motorist, Terence Crutcher, on Friday, Sept. 16, after responding to a call about his disabled SUV. Video of the shooting shows Crutcher with his hands in the air, apparently complying with police orders, but the police almost certainly had a very good reason for shooting Crutcher dead, because they always have a very good reason for shooting unarmed black people, don't they? Yr Wonkette would like to apologize in advance for our outrageous racism in even noting that Crutcher, 40, was black and the officer who shot him, Betty Shelby, is white. We're sure Fox News can explain to us what Crutcher did to deserve being shot, even if it was something he did 20 years ago.
Then the cop who shot the staff member for no apparent reason should not be a cop any more. When he was asked why he shot the black man lying down with his hands in the air, his response was "I don't know".
Well he had been tased and was pretty much incapacitated on the ground and not a dire threat to anyone. But still he was shot to death? For what reason exactly? I hope they lock her up and throw the key away.
Being a police officer is not even in the Top 10 of most dangerous jobs in the U.S. Roofers and steelworkers are more likely to be killed on the job than cops. Not to mention loggers (#1) and fisherman (#2). Furthermore, cops who are killed on the job are far more likely to be killed while driving their cars than shot in the line of duty. Every white person in the country (of which I am one) needs to know that. And they don't. I don't even think most cops know it.
Ah, the crime of driving while black. Perhaps Drumpf can have '________ while not white' classified as a crime so these poor police officers can be free of the weight of murder with consequences.

I noticed as soon as I heard about it that on the google news page, every news service had a headline that was a variant of "Police shoot unarmed man" except for Fox, which was "Tulsa Police Officer Felt Threatened".
Seems to me that the biggest issue is the arming of the entire populace. I think every cop, good, bad, or in between, now goes to work thinking that everyone they encounter is going to shoot them and the inevitable result is that more people get shot. Seems that this is the issue nobody wants to talk about but it's very simple: give everyone a gun and everyone, including police, are going to shoot people. If you're black you're even scarier and probably more likely to get shot.
