Stevante Clark, Stephon Clark's brother, at Sacramento City Council meeting The two white Baton Rouge cops involved in the deadly 2016 shooting of Alton Sterling outside a convenience store -- after they already had him face-down on the ground -- will not be charged
Mayor Steinberg is a good and decent man as well as a committed public servant with decades long ties to every neighborhood and community in Sacramento.Stephon Clark should not have been killed by police in his grandmother's back yard and his death is but the most recent in a too long series of affronts for conduct that includes legally crossing a street outside of a crosswalk, having an undertreated mental illness, and the like or alleged petty vandalism. There's a righteous anguish going on, but Darrell Steinberg, as a man and as the Mayor is part of the solution, not the problem.IMHO
I had one in front of me last month with a crossed pistols. The motto surrounding the pistols: "save guns, shoot liberals".I'd like to see his think piece. He's probably an ex-sheriff or similar.
You only have to stop and think for a few seconds to understand why a company like Facebook exists.
Why would anybody shell out that much money for equipment, employees and utilities to create a “free” service where you talk about your life and connect to people? Out of the goodness of their hearts?
Obviously the whole reason Facebook exists is mine data on its users. Knowledge is power, and their product is the power over you that they get when you type your whole life into their website. What they are selling, is you.
The quickest route to gun control is through the insurers. Whether it's bullshit like this or claims arising out of people concealed carry in the food court, if the insurance companies demand action, they will get it.
I can see their logic: 'Well, they only killed one black guy. So that's just 3/5 of a white guy. Can't prosecute PART of a crime, now can we? Case dismissed!'
I wish that were true. Gun control is an awesome start, but until police start viewing POC as human, they're still going to be claiming they feared for their lives.
Well I think you figured it out at the end there.

And I hope Mr. Clark's family gets a many million dollar settlement -and wish even more that it came out of the SPOA

this shit has been going on for too long, and could go on forever
"...and the cops who shot...""...and the cops who shot...""...and the cops who shot..."
fucking bullshit, needs to be fixed, and right now
Seems like most police departments only care about black people when they can somehow pin a crime on them.

Q: Where's the best place to hide after killing someone?A: Behind a badge.
If you're not paying for it, you are the product.

They could. 'We thought he had an ILLEGAL gun. Oh, look, one just magically appeared in his pocket.'

They cry real good when you punch them.
I wonder. Remember that baseball game?
