I'm sorry you had to endure that. When I was pregnant with my youngest I was at work and had sharp, excruciating pain and thought I was going into early labor- I was about 7 months along. We went to the hospital and the pain had subsided by then, blah, blah. I was not in labor and the doctor made a comment about my looking for attention by coming to the hospital rather than going to my doctor. My OB/GYN's father was a nephrologist and she suspected stones and sent me for testing- I had stones in both kidneys. I had attacks for the remainder of the pregnancy which I can say are worse than labor. About 6 weeks after I gave birth, I had to have one surgically removed because it had gotten "stuck" in its travels and then had the blasting on both kidneys; it was a fun summer.
