Thinking forward to post COVID days, is there some sticker on these trailers that says "DO NOT use for food transport"?

Didn't the govt "ask" them to stop that because it looked bad?

Yes, and I'm going to insert a PSA here, and again anywhere someone brings up the storm:

When you come to an intersection where the traffic lights have lost power, you are supposed to treat it as a 4-way stop. That means come to a stop, look both ways, and proceed only if traffic allows for it. It DOES NOT mean just go ahead and drive right on through, because "Hey, I didn't see no red light telling me to stop!"

I was appalled and frightened to witness almost a dozen people on my half-hour drive home from work this morning who went with option #2, luckily for them ( and me ) on roads with no cross traffic at the time.

Oh, he knew what was needed...that never was the issue. He just didn't want to...He thought, stupidly (I can probably stop here) that he could just bully the virus. Well, the virus handed him his ass and his political career and, hopefully, his entire business...

We're doing better in the bay area, relatively speaking, but we're not all that great. Santa Clara county was reporting something like 0.7% ICU capacity, Alameda was 0, I think. I hear Sac county is winding out on 9% or so...

I am continually struck by our collective inability to grieve during this time. My best friend's mother died in April. We saw them for the first time right before Christmas when we brought them homebrew beer and we ate Thai takeout at a local playground. Another friend lost his best friend over the summer. One of my colleagues, my institutional memory, died in October. I haven't been to any funerals. I haven't hugged the bereaved. How do you grieve when you can't gather, when you can't hold each other?

Which means he will never be erased from history. People far into the future will be talking about him. I suppose that was the point of his candidacy all along.
