Yeah, it's almost like God didn't think abortion was a big deal or something. I have to admire the GOP for inventing this "controversy" out of whole cloth.
With one of the larger donors to politicians in Texas being Service Corporation of America (which is to the funeral industry what Walmart is to retailing), it would be nice to know whether they're really all that upset by the idea of an "unwanted" customer base.
I don't think Texas permits backyard burials. The Funeral industry is a big player in Texas politics, Service Corporation of America being headquartered in Houston and controlling the dead-disposal biz in the United States.
That's an interesting point. When my father in law died, we found out that Texas law dictates embalming BEFORE cremation. How will they embalm a speck?
I read that as Jeremiah bragging on the other prophets. "God appointed you when you were born? Hah - He appointed me before I was even conceived!"Unfortunately, I'm not good at writing rap, because that's how it sounded in my head.
15% to 20%? I had thought that it was more like 50% of all fertilized ova fail to reach viability - but that figure may include fertilized ova that fail to develop at all and never reach mitosis and the embryonic stage.

So, this will cost a lot of money. But it's not Greg Abbot's money, so let's go ahead and make this a legal requirement!
An unexpected bill for $2,000 would certainly distract a grieving former mother-to-be from the shock of losing a child she wanted to give birth to.
You have far more faith in the 5th circuit than I do. I think they like getting spanked by the notorious RBG et. al.

It's not a fetus!!! It's Sollent Green!
And to be even more gross: If you accidentally flush it, do you have to go to your local utility to find it and cremate it properly?

Hey what's the problem? This will create Texas jobs. Fetal Funeral Insurance is gonna boom if this goes through.

We paean the glorious state of Texas. We paean the great leader, Greg Abbott.
Someone should invent a pocket-size cremation chamber for chronic masturbators. Coming soon to adult bookstores and funeral homes near you!!!
