Apparently, this was a thing. Sitting in the invisible box makes you invisible. And if somebody looks at you while you are in the invisibility box, it completely fucks with your mojo. There was all kinds of earflappery and an entire silent conversation going on.
I first heard about this on Fur Affinity, where artists were finding that financial transactions between them and commissioners were being blocked. Not by the sites, but by the credit card companies who decided to basically act as bluenosed gatekeepers.
Apparently, per the attached video, they're after the gaming community as well, and the guy in the video is discussing strategies for fighting back.
One commenter suggested "For those of us in the US, there is a bill in congress right now that would make it illegal for any financial service provider to directly or indirectly prohibit or inhibit any legal transaction. It's called the Fair Access to Banking Act, H.R.987 in the House, S.401 in the Senate."
I haven't read either bill yet, but here's the video:
Well, I spent last night at the rehab where again I cleaned transport carriers. Some of them were quite nasty as animals in them were generally sick and afraid. Cleaning the crates is a really good job for me: I get to work alone and at my own pace.
A very slow week for me at work. Data has dried up for the summer while everyone rests and recovers from winter. That means lots of time making up work to do and working ahead whereever I can.
Tonight I'll bake six lasagnas and box them into individual meals with rolls and cupcakes. Today, in fact, is 🧀 National Lasagna Day and I sprang for the Stouffer's brand lasagnas which taste better than the wal-mart brand. Two non cheese eaters will each get a Marie Calender large size pot pie with a roll and cupcake. My mom and her wife want to start making meals once a month, too, as they have a friend with a good sauce recipe.
I bought some merlot soaked asiago, blueberry cherve, and vache qui rit to enjoy with my fruit at the end of the day. Yesterday the cheese was no doubt the highlight of the day. (Second was finishing cleaning out the carriers.)
Stouffer’s is good, not the Meat Lover’s kind, though. The meat is too, dunno how you say “extrusion form inconsistent with material meat texture” in English, weird?
I had some old people authors tell me with a straight face, "tell the person to do a GPTchat of the literature, you'll get 2000 studies." I did not ask how many would be made up, but I wanted to. I didn't even tell them that at our company, we have a no AI policy.
I made my first FB post in over two years today. (I maintain an account so I can check up on what clients are posting.) The Prosecuting Attorney's office posted some bullshit video of dudes in tacticool gear with the tagline "We're Coming For You."
I replied, "You don't come for my clients unless I call you."
I'm all for cops. I want them interacting with citizens. I want them standing around, bullshitting with taxpayers, and kids, and homeless folks. I want to see them goofing around and dancing at the farmer's market . . .
And I want prosecutors to remember that they aren't cops. They aren't on the cops' "team." They're on the fucking taxpayers' team.
What you got to understand is that the principles of small government, States rights, Constitutional literalism . . . these are all complete bullshit concepts whose only purpose is to provide cover for the Court to prevent Congress, the President, or other Courts from doing any fucking thing that might be consistent with the principles of small government, State's rights, or Constitutional literalism.

Wanda got her in the ear medicine for hypothyroidism, and also a bouquet of delphiniums, because I don’t know why, but cats seem to have an affinity.
I also have some cat music playing for her.

Man, if only.
I think that only works for cats, dogs, and birds.
When are they going to teach that trick to us humans?

i have yet to find a better companion for 'night of drinking' or 'morning after night of drinking' than stouffer's mac and cheese.
This is another reason I want to retire - so I can do more meaningful things such as your volunteer work. I simply don’t have time for it right now.
When I retire I want to work with a marine mammal rescue in CA.

I believe you mean "over processed".

Still fucking hot here
Heat index yesterday was 105F. Same expected today. Ugh.
We're expecting 38C, or 100F. Ugh indeed. Thank Crom for AC.
Oh hell yes.
Let's see how deeply the MAGAts try to bury *this* inconvenient fact:

Didarul Islam, 36, a father who had migrated to the US from Bangladesh, is among four people killed.

Just a lovely and enlightening article ...

It wasn't Us v. Them until they made it that way.
What a snowflake! They must've felt like you were invading their safe space. They just want to stay inside their bubble and not be challenged.
...Isn't it interesting how all the things they say about us apply equally to them, as much as they protest they're *nothing* like that?
