But ‘good behavior’ doesn’t say‘until impeached and convicted’ the congress could write a law that would define failure to complete an accurate disclosure form or failure to recuse when there is a conflict of interest as ‘not good behavior’
The constitution does say that congress has the right to set terms and conditions.
Where’s the same kind of outrage that has been directed towards the unelected experts at federal regulatory agencies? We didn’t vote for anyone at SCOTUS, and we are subject to their whims and their favors for their political “donors” for as long as they choose to serve on the Court, as we are with other federal judges. The whole process of hoping a justice will die or plan to retire when it’s politically expedient for the party in power is ludicrous. Maybe if we had a functional Congress some things could be settled through legislation, but at the rate laws are being toppled by the current Justices, I doubt even that would work.
Cadet Bone-spurs can now finally claim wounded warrior status. Just look at all his injuries fighting in the war against Christmas. He can now be honored with the Chinese made nativity trophy that comes with a removable plastic baby Jesus.
Term limits would require a constitutional amendment (ymmv), which would be near impossible—that language about ‘good behavior’ implies lifetime tenure for all federal judges—but expansion of the Court can be handled by an act of Congress. Last set at 9 in 1869, all that’s required is legislation. Although with the present Congress, it’s a miracle that Post Offices get named.
I'd like to amend the "there is never a justification for political violence" maxim that we all would like to respect. "Absent an undemocratic takeover of the federal government by forces hostile to democracy through the machinations of a corrupt supreme court that would align our government with our historic geopolitical adversaries, political violence is never justified."
If only there was a "radical left". Down this way, the federal judiciary is gonna be completely reorgzanized... even though there are already term limits for Supreme Court justices, it looks like they will be elected by the people in some way or another (probably from a list of nominees by the legislature and executive)
WTAF is Adam Schiff doing? Does he think his treachery is going to win him a senate seat? I have no say in US politics because I'm Irish and live in Ireland but if not Joe Biden then it will be Project 2025 for at least a generation. Vote blue people because your very lives, and those of the world, depend on you.
I remember writing a piece on the extent to which one of your country's great Senators dared to tell the United States' fascist leaners to their faces what the country seemed to refuse to turn in and grapple with amongst itself / themselves / ourselves
.. and I don't know where the present US Constitution says they can't have term limits, nor that ethics rules, nor anything else specifically. When it comes to that, nothing about Communists or a "radical left" either.
For the record, dumb fuck CF, 2x's Impeached, Sexual Assaulter, Serial Fraudster Trump did not pick any justices. Leonard Leo and the Federalist Society run the show.

Yes, now that you mention it, they may start claiming he is a combat veteran. Where's his CIB?
Oh I wish I was an Oscar Meyer weimer
That's the wurst thing I have seen today.
Always wonder if Trump actually means "sacred" or if he's simply misspelling "screed"... or if his sack is actually red?!?
"Despondent" doesn't seem like a word he would know and use...
Yes, someone else writes his twits for him, to many words spelled correctly, for one.

Sigh.
This is no time to "respect boundaries". Biden has unlimited immunity -- use it on the people that gave it to him.
Send the boys from SEAL Team 6 so they get the message. "With extreme prejudice".</apocalypsenow>
"Captain, I don't know how you feel about this shrimp, but if you eat it, you'll never have to prove your courage in any other way."
Now I DO want a cigarette, thanks.

Ta, Evan. I believe tertiary syphilis is deliquescing what's left of TFG's very best brain.
"deliquescing," new word, thanks!

"This nutsack is now putting capital letters in the middle of words?"
Seriously, this is psychotic.
He wouldn't fuck himself; he's not his type.
Screw J.D. Nobody cares about another V.C. product.
The Trump/Roberts court is shit people care about.
For a second I read it as “SCARED” and that pleased me.
The constitution isn't sacred. It's all amendable.
It was supposed to be reviewed every twenty years to keep it relevant.
