An "eyewitness" who can't locate the shooter within 50 yards is hardly a "detail". Hell, this racist twunt is too simple to even <i>have</i> details.

It's up to the jury to decide how credible a witness is. McCullough covered his ass by throwing the FBI interview transcript onto the mountain of documents the jury was supposed to look at, leaving it up to them to discover that she was a racist nutjob.

Of course, an honest prosecutor would never take a random nutter who falsely claims to have seen something, and present her as a "witness" knowing full well that every word out of her mouth is perjury. A jury makes some assumptions when a witness is put before them by the state -- the possibililty that "this asshohle wasn't even there and is making the whole thing up" is not even on the table.

I hate everything about the content and circumstances of this piece, but can I just say that I'm really liking Shrill? Oh, and I have to go vomit for about an hour.

Jumpin' Jesus on a pogo stick, this DA shouldn't even be handling the Saturday arraignments from the drunk tank let alone homicide.

They're doing a civil rights investigation into the shooting, but I'm not sure they'll look into the grand jury clusterfuck. It deserves a DOJ investigation of its own.

It's the Faux News "fair and balanced" approach, where the truth and bald-faced lies get equal time. Of course, given that you can get the truth elsewhere, certain efficiency measures can reaonably be taken...

As you know, only some of the Commandments actually matter. The most important one is "Thou shalt have no other gods before me, the Christiany Jesusy God."

We've already established that "Thou Shalt Not Kill" doesn't cover wars, the Texas judicial system, or cops.

Taking the name of the Lord in vain and the thing about idols and the Sabbath are just another way of saying "It's all about Teh Christyness, Dudes."

The rest of 'em are secondary.

Here is a kitten being freaked out by an iguana. It is cute. <a href="https://www.youtube.com/wat..." target="_blank">" rel="nofollow noopener" title="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSpIcGSqP0A">https://www.youtube.com/wat...

I don't know what you guys are all bitching about. There WAS a trial and Wilson was acquitted. Q. E. Fucking D.

This is according to average Americans, who have only the most tenuous understanding of what a Grand Jury is--or a democratic judicial system, for that matter.

I'd say I hope she gets shived in prison, but honestly I wouldn't want her blood to corrode someone's fine hand-crafted weapon.

"God bless officer Wilson"

She missed that one commandment about "bearing false witness".

Where are the kittens? This has been one hell of a day on the Wonkette.

"McElroy would return to the Ferguson grand jury 11 days later, journal pages in hand and with a revamped story for the panel."

Hmmm. What are the odds that if we could carbon date those journal pages we'd find they originated during that 11 day period?
