Thom Hartmann should have invited him on his show in early 2016 when it was the Hillary Bashfest Hour (3 of 'em, actually).

What an exquisitely constructed strawman he's got there.

David Fucking Brooks remains astonishingly shitty, and part of my gripe against the world is that he has a job anywhere, because he's so insipid, and and absolutely everything he writes is in service to the Republican project that's been wrecking and crushing us as a nation for the past four decades. And he gets paid handsomely for it. He's godawful.

If people don't want their government to be corrupt, then they have to demand that corrupt politicians be punished, no matter what party they represent. I don't see how this could be a tough thing to support unless you're only concerned with corruption in your opposing party (which seems to be the case for most Republicans).

If that slot hadn't already been permanently occupied by Newt Gingrich, I'd say that David Brooks is a stupid man's idea of a smart man.

Bobo wants to move on because there is an amoral and mentally ill Republican President whose actions are putting the entire Republican party in danger of having it's own immorality and venality forced into the open. Republicans aren't scrambling to protect Trump, they are attempting to avoid having to make the public decision of choosing between loss of power or the rule of law.I think the rich white power structure has started to read the writing on the wall when it comes to the changes in this country. It will destroy anyone and anything to keep its hold on power. Trump has merely stripped it down to its true core of hatred and bigotry and distilled its malignancy to use to keep in power at any cost.

Brooks is bored and tired of eating at Olive Garden. Or is it Red Robin? He occasionally drops in on the Great Unwashed.

Also too, as long as pundits like David Fucking Brooks are all "Yawn! Impeachment is soooo booooring!" that of itself contributes to the lack of conversations around it. All it really means is that Brooks isn't bothered by anything Twitler has done, because I don't believe for a minute that if Twitler actually offended Brooks that Brooks would find different college classrooms to support his point that impeachment is a red-hot topic.
