Report this shit:

At least 120 Palestinians have been killed and 474 injured in Israeli attacks across Gaza in the past 24 hours, according to the enclave’s Health Ministry. Three bodies of those killed previously were also recovered from the rubble.

At least 57 aid seekers were killed and more than 363 injured by Israel since this morning, bringing the total number of people killed at aid distribution centres to 224, with 1,858 others injured, the ministry added.

One of the most ominous things I've seen in recent days (they've provided an embarrassment of ominous riches, to be sure) is a bit of Trump's speech to some assembled troops. It seemed to me that he treated them brazenly as partisans for his own side. I think he's trying to turn the military into his own "S.A." (Hitler's personal army of stormtroopers and thugs). I don't know how any sane person can watch this sort of thing going down and not see that tens of millions of Americans have elected a man who wants to make himself an American Fuhrer. How bone-crushingly, soul-destroyingly stupid!

We should have understood long since that about 1 in 3 Americans would willingly be concentration camp guards, especially if the inmates are black, gay, liberals or any other group despised by people who self-identity as "conservative". About another third of our number would say nothing, even actively hide from the knowledge of the crimes being committed against people who have done nothing wrong save be members of some disfavored minority. In short, one third of us want to murder another third of us, and the rest just don't fucking care, just don't bother us with your fake news.

I can't claim scholar. Well, I can if I imagine it.

I don't agree with Ms. Ben-Ghiat.

I don't think anyone would get used to, desensitized by , or anything other than fucking furious by troops on their streets.

I get furious when the cops come out to do crowd control or whatever they call it.

We don't need anybody controlling protests. If one learns the fundamentals of protesting, crowds can control themselves.

I don't know if "desensitized" or "used to" would be the right terms either. Something more like "scared to the point of just shutting down when they realize that they are being assaulted with overwhelming force and that their institutions have let them down." It's more like stark terror, isn't it? This feeling gets worse when we realize that basically, our Nazi bastard of a leader is being at least partially supported by the highest courts and the Congress, who should be opposing him with whatever powers and privileges they have.

Fascinating, isn't it, how the people who actually did the window-breaking and car-arson aren't the ones getting arrested.

This guy is trash, but the response disproportional:

"FBI Puts LA Protester On ‘Most Wanted’ List As Government Threatens Crackdown

Elpidio Reyna, 40, of Compton, is accused of throwing “rocks at law enforcement vehicles on Alondra Boulevard in Paramount, California, injuring a federal officer,” according to an announcement from the FBI’s Los Angeles field office. While authorities said the federal officer was injured, it’s unclear what injuries were sustained and to what extent law enforcement vehicles were damaged. Reyna’s name is now under the “additional violent crimes” category on the FBI’s Most Wanted webpage and next to suspects accused of murder, kidnapping and terrorism.

Pam Bondi: “So, you can run, you can’t hide.""

California Penal Code Section 597. This law prohibits intentionally maiming, torturing, wounding, or killing animals, as well as overworking, overdriving, or subjecting them to needless suffering.

Kristi Noem is a criminal. If she shows up in LA or any other part of Cali, she should be arrested.

I never like comparing Trump & company to toddlers.

Toddlers have very little actual life experience to use to figure things out.

They get cranky because they are tired or hungry, without having the life experience to understand what’s making them so cranky.

Trump and his ilk know what they are doing.

Why do we have nothing but silence from the lowliest lieutenant on up to the five stars at incompetent assholes sending our troops into dangerous situations with absolutely nothing but ammunition?

Food? Water? Someplace to crap besides down an alley while everyone else holds the line?

This is a welfare, wellness, and combat readiness of the troops issue. Not a political issue.

“because in the immortal words of Commander Adama of Battlestar Galactica: “There's a reason you separate the military and the police. One fights the enemies of the state. There was a lot to admire about the writing in that season…

Schumer misread this altogether because he forgot Trump is TACO when the shutdown should have occurred and forgot that Trump would fold and throw Elon under the bus which he eventually did, but not until the damage was done.

I still won’t give money to the Dem Senate until Schumer is out of power…

Many of us have known this was part of the plan from the beginning - committing heinous crimes against the Constitution and against helpless poor people, waiting for good people of conscience to react, stoking up violence (by sending in ProudBoy types if needed), responding in force and then declaring Martial Law. It feels like we're all trapped - watching the inevitable push into totalitarianism.
