"He wants Elon Musk to be secretary of what exactly, please?"

Phony Stark is skilled at bullshit and hype and owns his own misinformation platform (until he finishes bankrupting it). Maybe communications director?

We had a Business Man Who Could Fix Gummint By Drowning It In A Bathtub™ here in beautiful Erie County, New York. His name was Chris Collins, and his brand was some corporobabble thing called "Six Sigma." It basically amounted to "cut services to the poors and make everybody on the county payroll but me and my appointees have to swipe in and out of the time clock every second of the workday." He got booted out after one term, eventually weaseled his way into Congress in NY's reddest district, became TFG's first congressional endorser, but eventually had to resign after a bust for insider trading that he was pardoned for on the Insurrectionist's way out the door. At last word he was trawling around Florida looking for a red seat to begin his comeback from.

Ta, Evan. Every article about him (not that he deserves the publicity) should share your previous title: Get Fucked, Dean Philips.

He's blanketing the Facebook space in NH, and weirdly, he has an event coming up with Andrew Yang, which I find extremely surprising about Andrew Yang.

Oh my God! I was confusing Andrew Yang with Andy Kim!

My faith in humanity is restored (though my faith in my memory is getting even shakier. That goddamn temporal lobe is going to hell in a handbasket. Now I'm getting deja vu seizures from time to time, even!)

I expect Andy Kim, D-NJ and hopefully Menendez' replacement (but not on the grifting circuit) would not even THINK of going to an event with Dean Phillips.

Hey, wasn't Dean Phillips in the Mamas and the Papas? If so, he looks remarkably young.

"extraordinary" does not necessarily mean "good", just for the record, boys.

Interesting that Dean's in favor of consultants doing assessments of government functions. Republicans, when they get in power, love to bring in private sector companies to do assessments of either the entire agency or specific parts of it.

Bottom line, the peons who do the actual work get screwed, and the consultants get a taxpayer-funded paycheck. Which they kick a portion back to the officeholder in the form of "campaign contributions."

This asshole claims to be a Democrat? One thing that stood out to me was that "“zero-based budgeting” he says he wants to do. That is just another way of saying he wants a "balanced budget" - which has been shown to be a very bad idea - there's a ( Keynesian ) reason why we should allow government to run deficits, which "zero-basing" everything would prevent.

This is a deceptive as Senator BatBoy's proposal to "sunset" all legislation every 5 years ( including Social Security, Medicare ) which would have the effect of allowing ratfucking Republicans the ability to hold these programs "hostage", like they already do per the debt ceiling and overall government spending ( oes anyone really think we're gonna get that proposed CR passed by Friday midnight? )

Dean is gunning for a gig as the next “Fox News Democrat” who will go on Hannity and talk about how terrible and corrupt democrats are and why can’t they be more like those nice republicans.

Tulsi Gabbard had better watch her back.

"Zero based budgeting" is the lie you tell voters that somehow think national economies are exactly the same as household economies

Several years ago 1.3 trillion dollars were spent et Fighters that DIDN'T WORK...And it didn't effect the economy one bit....

Zero sum thinking is 'understandable' because its SIMPLE so of course simple minded conservative types can't deal with economics as an abstraction

Dean Phillips hosted a campaign event in New Hampshire last week. No one showed up. No one. His response? "If you build it sometimes they don't come." He's definitely gonna go far.
