I watched Lincoln finally last night. First, great work, esp by DDL, and Tommy Lee Jones made me cry. Second, wow I loved watching the birth of Southron butt-hurt in the scene between Lincoln and Davis, and with those morans in Congress.
I'm a fan of "pigfucker" as a go-to insult. It avoids targeting any particular group (aside from bestiality enthusiasts, but who cares); and the short, harsh syllables really help it to roll of the tongue.
If Michelle Obama started a program to promote hugging your children, I swear the conservative culture warriors would find a way to be outraged and opposed.
Is it just me, or has anyone else gotten the impression that DCOD seem to be gradually getting, uh, more civil with each iteration? (This does not mean that I agree with any of them!) But, Jeez, where did the spittle-flecked incoherent rants of old go? Even coyote 111, for all of his English-mangling, expresses a discernable point of view, flawed as it is. It's just a tepid critique compared the scattershot wackiness of critics of yore.
In DrCasbahJazz's case, the thin-skinned attitude is recognizable. I've exhibited that condition from time to time myself, in comments right here on this very mommyblog. My advice: lighten up already. And don't take everything so personally. Writers here aren't vicious, just wickedly snarky. Admit it: it is the fiery snark that attracts you to this blog, isn't it? So remember to put on your ovenmitts next time.

The Splendid Table on NPR (my Dog I am such a fucking Libtard) did a blind water taste test and Minneapolis city water came out as the best when compared to all kinds of bottled water.
