This week's crop of deleted comments made us feel a bit nostalgic, since a couple of them employ a rightwing rhetorical trope that we first noticed when we still read the local news-paper while listening to Fleetwood Mac on the Victrola.
Deleting comments has nothing to do with intolerance and everything to do with keeping our pages from becoming the cesspool that open comments so often lead to.
So yes, I delete comments. I delete comments that are just invective, I delete comments that appear to be trolling or concern trolling, I delete comments that attempt to start or re-kindle flame wars, and I delete comments that are screedy.
Do we have a set of rules deciding what stays and goes? No.
Our goal is too keep the comments fun, funny, and reasonably safe for our regulars. I delete anything that I feel works against those goals.
And your being stuck on this one issue, and posting repeatedly about it two days later, means you are very close to appearing to be working against those goals.
So yes, lighten up, move on, and everybody is happy.
Wrong. Men have different superciliary arches, orbits, temporal lines, larger mastoid process, and larger & rounded tympanic plates. All of these things are located on a human skull.
I'm prepared to consider any Candian Moron at all. Pamela Anderson, Robin Thicke, any of them. Line them up for a debate. Was that show Northern Exposure set in Canada or Alaska? Get that moose in from the opening credits.
Well ““relic5150” must be using really "evolved" English than, since he/she uses words like "libtard" and "moronic" to describe people whose positions are actually perfectly mainstream right now. Being pro choice is hardly a far left position anymore, and its hardly just the left that falls on that side of the Issue. I mean, Ayn Rand, who so many right wing Christians seem to idolize was hardly anti abortion.

She also didn't particularly like Christianity or religion in general.

I wonder if "relic5150" would call the hyper selfish anti government, right wing libertarian idol a "libtard"
LOL! Perhaps the aliens wanted to create the ultimate wingnut to help them conquer Earth! They combined human with extra stupid genes from the dumbest animals on the planet!
Most people who undergo the misnamed "conversion therapy" don't exactly choose to undergo it voluntarily. I would be willing to bet through that "relic5150" would never accept the fact that it does not and cannot ever work. You can't make someone stop being gay, anymore than you can make someone stop being straight.

Off course this is someone who probably thinks that the American Psychiatric Association abandoning the debunked idea that being a homosexual is a "mental disorder" was some sort of anti Christian satanic conspiracy.
It's not a tragedy at all for all women. For many it's a blessed relief.
And then apparently for some it involves the clinic giving out free Mai Tais and a toaster once you fill up your punch card. That commenter thinks they are a lot easier to get than they are.
So you libtards are moronic enough to claim guns are bad yet see nothing wrong with millions of unborn helpless babies being slaughtered without any consequences
Just curious there, 5150: Would abortion be more palatable to you if we shot the fetus?
Yes, you do need to lighten up.

Wow there's some messed up stuff in the Bible!
Maybe I'll change my handle to ButchLiberty. Sounds very hetero-'Murican tough & stuff.

Jenny Green will be checking out your skulls in the locker room, ladies!
I didn't know abortions were so easy to get.
They would probably demand that the mother make it go through "conversion therapy" instead.
Abortion by stoning. Now that would be painful.

Also plus Ish Kabibble, too!

I've been in a few shorts like that.
