Beware the Grizzly Bear

he'll give you a scare

unless it's a female

then she will

(that was the first one I wrote back in 2014)

I drink brown bear milk because it’s so nutritious. Also, I get a great workout trying to obtain it.

I see it with my own eyes

So I find it to be so

That there are bear-back riders

At fishing rodeos.

Are you a Dad? Because that is a good (or bad, depending upon your point of view) Dad joke.

I told a Dad joke to my seven y/o granddaughter. She rolled her eyes at me and said “Bro”

Speaking of Stupid CBS, here is David Byrne singing Burning Down the House on Colbert last night, with amazing dance moves from Colbert himself at the end.

1. If Texas cannot beat Ken Paxton, Texas is done for democratically and Democratically. The general election will probably be a pastor versus a serial adulterer. C'mon, Texas!

2. That "1776" juvenile hi jinks reminds me of a dude who named his first four products the "S" "3" "X" and "Y", Get it? Get it? What a moran!

I liked it better when mediocre dipshits in Florida were not famous and “news worthy” except in the police blotter.

Make dumb people unfamous again.

A lot can happen between now and the midterms. But, by electing these trump minions in the primaries, I thing the GOP is setting themselves up for a huge fall in November. Redistricting or not.

Yes. It's inevitable.

Happy Wednesday.

It doesn’t help that most of the news outlets rounded it up to $1.8 billion.

In the same way they have failed to report on the real context of Trump’s thousands of stock trades in companies he was directly meeting with, & that his stocks are not in a legitimate blind trust and the paperwork he just filed and signed clearly reveals that he is actively participating in his stock trades.

Like, we already hate him. Why are they so reluctant to give us the full picture of how corrupt & shitty & stupid he is?

A Tad Impatient To 86 47's avatar

Good point. Yeah, if they just stated, factually, what he says and does, it would have quite an impact, I’m sure.

We just had a houseguest here, older, blue-collar retiree and friend of my wife’s family. He’s clearly a Dem, and hates Trump. But it was eye-opening to realize what he and people he associates with *don’t* know about Trump. How much could they *not* know? Amazingly, the “grab ‘em by the pussy” thing! Maybe it’s just faded in his memory? Otherwise, the lack of information is just shocking.

VwllssWndr's avatar

The media of ten years ago isn't the same media of today. Back then they would chase whatever bad news they could broadcast for ratings, but now they're actively avoiding the worst of what Trump is up to because he'll give their owners tax cuts and allow them to merge into monopolies.

Good morning,

Ain't sure why Bezos thinks he needs to do this . . .

After all, after everything he's done, is he really afraid people won't think he's a great guy? 🌚

Aaron Rupar @atrupar

SORKIN: Why lay people off at the Post? Why fire people?

BEZOS: Because the Post needs to be a profitable enterprise that stands on its own two feet

SORKIN: Does it? Some people say it should be a trust

BEZOS: Yes. It's a measure of its relevance. If people aren't paying for our product, it's not a good enough product

The internet blew up the “advertising/pay for content” model. Bezos should understand this.

Brian McCurdy's avatar

And why aren't people paying for that product, hmm? Money just mysterious stopped flowing in October 2024.

TootsStansbury 🇺🇦's avatar

News isn’t a product but that’s beside the point; people aren’t paying for your right wing propaganda, why should they?
