I drink brown bear milk because it’s so nutritious. Also, I get a great workout trying to obtain it.

I see it with my own eyes

So I find it to be so

That there are bear-back riders

At fishing rodeos.

I told a Dad joke to my seven y/o granddaughter. She rolled her eyes at me and said “Bro”

You know, if Trump stopping threatening to send random nations "back to the Stone Age" we wouldn't have to build a drone-proof dance hall.

Via HuffPost: JERUSALEM (AP) — Detained activists from a flotilla that tried to get past the Israeli blockade of Gaza arrived Wednesday in Israel. Video released by National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir showed him walking among some of the approximately 430 detainees. The videos drew a backlash abroad and in Israel, where a fellow government minister called them inappropriate and “disgraceful.”

One video shows activists with their hands tied behind their backs kneeling with their heads touching the floor inside what appears to be a makeshift detention area at Ashdod port and on the deck of a ship. Ben-Gvir waves a large Israeli flag and tells the detainees: “Welcome to Israel, we are the landlords.” One handcuffed activist shown in the video shouting “Free Palestine” as Ben-Gvir was walking past was immediately pushed to the ground by security personnel.

In a second video, Ben-Gvir says the activists “came here all full of pride like big heroes. Look at them now,” while appealing to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to grant him permission to imprison them. “I say to Prime Minister Netanyahu, give them to me for a long, long time, give them to us for the terrorist prisons, that’s what it should look like.”"

HuffPost: "In his first public comments since granting clemency to Tina Peters, Colo. Gov. Jared Polis (D) said he thinks his decision to free the 2020 election denier and disgraced former county clerk “will be remembered fondly.” “I think this will be remembered fondly,” Polis said at an event moderated by The Colorado Sun. “The nation needs to have a reconciliation and healing.”"

What does Trump expect to happen with this ballroom? Does he think he can lock himself in on January 20, 2029 and run the country from there, impossible to reach?

Weld the entrance shut, change the wifi password, and move on. Trump doesn't drink, so we aren't even out the cost of a cask of Amontillado.

Enter Ranting's avatar

The plan won't work. Trump spends more time golfing than he does in the White House.

Palisadesoffunkedelic's avatar

But it will have drones to "protect Washington" militarily.

Daniel O'Riordan's avatar

So what? We changed the wifi password.

Let’s not forget that Massie will be doing the very least he can do after supporting GOP slander clown Donnie Trump for the last 12 years.

He’s still a massive turd who remains in the Republican Party.

He reminds me of those Nazi generals who waited until 1944 to notice that Hitler was bad for Germany. But without the courage.

Or a serial killer who’s not as bad as some of the others because he only killed 199 people instead of 200.

Interesting, from NYT. The courts are important!

"Georgia Democrats failed to educate voters about a court race.

There were more votes cast in Georgia in the Democratic primary for governor than in the Republican one. And yet two State Supreme Court candidates backed by Democrats — including former President Barack Obama and former Vice President Kamala Harris — failed to oust incumbents appointed by Republican governors.

The difference suggests that Georgia Democrats did not have a turnout problem as much as they did a voter education problem. The State Supreme Court races are officially nonpartisan, but unlike in Wisconsin and other states where justices and judicial candidates have become identified with a party, the partisan votes did not translate in Georgia.

The result: Georgia’s Supreme Court will remain firmly controlled by conservatives. Eight of the nine justices were appointed by Republican governors."

Daniel O'Riordan's avatar

Judicial races in Ohio, considered non-partisan, used to not have party designations on the ballot. Then, we had a race for Chief Justice where the Democrat was named Brunner and the Republican candidate was named Kennedy.

The Republican legislature quickly passed a bill appending party designations to the names of supreme court justices on the ballot.

How the 1776 fund will be doled out to J6ers

“You’re getting a million dollars”

“Fuck yeah”

“Now the Trump organization gets a “finders fee of 60 percent for arranging the fund”

“Oh okay. That’s still…”

“The attorney provided to you by the Trump organization get 35 percent for closing the case”

“Yeah but”

“And then finally court costs of $90,000”

“But we’re just sitting in an office”

“So here’s that check for $10,000. And no we don’t validate parking”

Daniel O'Riordan's avatar

Of course, the IRS is going to come after you for taxes on the full million. That $10K should cover it. Maybe.
