I like what you said! I’m stuck in bed with a flu as well.

I do seem to remember Harris saying her pronouns before other things as well but maybe I’m wrong? Honestly though, the organizers should have suggested all the candidates do it out of respect.

Oh shit, that's terrible about the bronchitis. Antibiotics if you can, and lots of steamy hot clear liquids to break up the chest congestion. Lemon ginger tea with honey is pretty good. I'm a long time bronchitis sufferer myself, so I feel and have felt your pain. Hang in there and get better.

I respect everything else in your post, and especially agree re: Buttigieg, Cuomo, and Biden.

If pronouns continue to exist as expressions of expectations of identity I would prefer constantly expression of them to be normalized too, but my personal preference is for pronouns to become de-gendered.

I want to be able to ask Aldous about Beaufort's new bicycle without having to consider unrelated subjects like Beaufort's preferences regarding other's expressions of the others's assumptions about Beaufort's gender identity. I just wanna talk bicycles.

Not wanting stuff to become more complicated makes me feel old.

I don't understand that. I can imagine running into the actual prime minister of my country and having a short chat, if he has time. How can even your last election's wannabe presidents be that unapproachable? There is something seriously wrong with your political system.

I can sympathize with a desire for more gender neutral language, but at the same time I understand people who want to be recognized for who they are in a society that’s still structured in such a way as to deny them that right.

The worst ones are the people who get angry with you if you use the wrong pronoun - even before they made their desires known.

That was my reaction too.

I would hope that the slow light of dawn began to creep in on Warren's youthful brain. You don't have to hate anyone to know the truth.

She couldn't fake it long enough to get through it.

She's that popular and she won by three million votes, and yes there is something wrong with our political system, the Electoral college.

Nat Geo got worse, they had a pictoral they claimed was Jesus's tomb. (It was a tomb Constantine's wife decided could have been his tomb.) An antique church with an interesting history, that story got lost in the propaganda.

I literally grimaced when I saw that. What the actual fuck.

It's the first song I remember too. It was meant, in a clumsy and full on racist way (no really, at one point, you are singing the refrain as if it is a war chant, or a bee bop, or the music turns "asian" sounding. AHHHHH the 70s!) to impart to young children that mere differences of skin does not make one a lesser. Totally a case of good intention, bad delivery. What this had to do with LBGTQ rights that Liz felt the need to wing it out, I do not know. I don't recall a gay verse set to a Cher tune or anything. Maybe they added that after my time.

She boycotted it because she hates gays. Just as she used to say outloud with her mouth parts.
