LESSONS LEARNED?

Six Veteran Democratic lawmakers told the military of their duty to refuse illegal orders.

However, they didn't go far enough. They also, should have reminded them of the lessons of Iraq War - Torture - Abu Ghraib: eleven U.S. soldiers were convicted by court-martial, but the brass who said it was "legal" got off scott free.

The US Didn't Learn the Lesson It Should Have in the Defeat of Nazi Germany

By telling the troops that they would have their backs, were the Six Veteran Democratic lawmakers saying they were going to go after the brass that "legalized" an illegal act?

If, that was NOT their intent, then as a country we've learned absolutely nothing and their efforts amount to nothing more than political grandstanding.

The issue is that Trump believes he is the law. It is not that he thinks he is above the law. He believes he is the law.

If I had the resources, I would set up and staff a hotline, outside of their chain of command, where service members can call and get appropriate legal advice.

Donald Trump is intellectually, cognitively, ethically and morally unfit to perform the duties of the president. Because Americans recognize that Trump lies compulsively and continually, opposition to his criminal regime grows daily.

It is an irrefutable fact that Donald Trump’s Fascist presidency is currently opposed by the overwhelming majority of Americans. Revealed by the October 18 “NO KINGS” protests followed by the total rejection of MAGA Republicans in the November 4 elections, the Trump presidency—as reported by Fox News—is currently approved by only 38% of Americans; 60% of Americans disapprove.

The 60% majority will not rest until the Fascist pedophile Donald Trump, is removed from office, prosecuted, convicted, and thrown into prison.

When this is over Kegsbreath needs to be dropped off on the front lines in Ukraine just to show us how a real WARFIGHTER handles adversity.

I heard that Stephen Miller lives on a military base for his own safety. I don’t know if that’s true, but I hope that POS ends up in gen pop eventually.

Someone should make a PSA for all the current service members reminding them about how much prison time John Yoo got for mistreating prisoners and how much prison time Lyndie England, a nobody private from West Virginia, got for the same thing.

I thought hegseth did all the JAGS already. And in case any military person is confused about what is illegal they can probably ask the general who resigned.

When I joined the Army in 1976, some members of my chain of command had been in Vietnam during the massacre in My Lai. Not only did our training on the UCMJ say that we shouldn't obey unlawful orders, it was stressed that we were 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 to disobey unlawful orders. They took that shit seriously.
