Yes, it does actually mean that deep down you do hate all those groups, if you express your bigotry about them even in the privacy of your own car. People who aren’t bigoted, when confronted with a bad driver, will yell out “What a dick-headed chucklefuck!” or some other suitably pithy phrase. We won’t feel the need to add the n-word or the c-word or the k-word, even in our own heads, because we aren’t bigoted assholes.

I think he's getting confused when it comes to the meaning of "Character". An actor can play a psycho and be a lovely person in real life and vice versa. It's a character that is played. Let's face it Trump couldn't read a script, let alone act convincingly. He is the character and is an awful one, there's no acting involved.
