Today's message to Fetterman:

"You're a fucking dick John. So sad I supported you.

You should resign the Senate.

Thank you for your attention to this matter, you dick."

A lot of focus has been on the Twin Cities but the burbs are also taking a hit. I've seen way more out of state license plates than normal and yesterday I saw a truck rigged up for some major coal rolling. In all of my years living in MN I have never seen a truck so tricked out (in other states, yes, here no). The goons are still doing lots of surveillance and intimidating at apartment complexes including one less than a mile from Molesworth Jr's school.

Molesworth One and a Half's avatar

LOL. They were still kidnapping people today and a DHS plane flew into the airport in Eden Prairie.

Edit: it was a CBP plane that flew into Eden Prairie. Different uniform, same thugs.

GrannysKnitting's avatar

so how is this supposed to work? they turn up where they are not wanted - hurt and even kill a bunch of people, then go somewhere else and do it again, getting more violent and reckless each time? how is this supposed to make people vote for them? cos they're taking action? the majority of the country is calling them fascists and their supporters fascists, which they are all whining about, so they know they're not popular/on the right side of history... its stupid how doubling down on stupid shit is their only platform

They should slither back to the border states that they typically haunt. The private prison industry needs to find occupants elsewhere, like convicted pedo rings and accomplices.

noname's avatar

Absolutely not! At least the rest of the county now sees what horrors ICE, in all its past and present iterations, regularly commits.

A victory won't be won merely by ICE slinking away from MN while continuing to slander innocent victims of its pogroms as "criminals" and "terrorists".

Assuming those words still have meaning -- which they must, in order for Mad King Donald to justify what would otherwise be crimes against his citizenry -- then knowingly and falsely wielding them against those who have been brutalized by ICE is slander. Add that to personal injury and harm to property, and there are multiple grounds for civil actions to be brought against this administration and its goons.

Those civil complaints should be filed early and often. It's an unfortunate fact that taxpayers will foot the bill for what should turn out to be sizeable damage awards, but perhaps the public will realize that this is yet another unsustainable cost of Miller/Trump/MAGA running amok. And no matter what, the fascists can never be allowed to forget that accountability is real and will find them, masks or no.

pstokk's avatar

No arrests by state or local cops. And I haven't read anything about plans to respond to the next round of federal terror, which will surely come. The county prosecutor hasn't even issued arrest warrants for the ICE/CBP murderers.

Plenty of federal lawsuits, that's good. They've had only marginal effect on federal lawlessness, though.

Rooster Cogburn's avatar

It's almost like cops are scared to mix it up with people who might shoot back

Naahh, that can't be it

pstokk's avatar

Cops are going to be cops. But have the people in charge even tried to get them to intervene? Cops will follow orders, somewhat. And if they don't they can be sidelined.

Blue state targets of federal terror will be crushed if the states do not turn their police into a force of resistance. They need to try the same with their NG, although that's trickier. They can also raise state militias completely under their control, some already have these.

While Minneapolis citizens fought this round to a stalemate, in future rounds there will be more feds, more arrests of protesters and politicians, federalization of the NG, deployment of red state NGs, probably escalation like preemptive arrests of activists, curfews, weaponization of the IRS, mass federal prosecutions with ruinous fines, seizure of protesters assets.

The time to organize for that is now. And part of that is having a force capable of arresting federal terrorists.

CAN THE BRAIN RECOGNIZE DAMAGE TO THE BRAIN?

A friend was having some cognitive issues and went to his doctor. At one point in the office visit, he said, “I’m afraid that I have Alzheimer’s.”

His doctor said, “Well, it’s not Alzheimer’s. If you’re afraid you have it, you ain’t got it.”

An MRI confirmed he had a couple of “mini strokes”.

Hamilton & The Crew's avatar

It depends on the damage. There are damages that the brain can't recognize because the very recognition of damage would require the damaged part to function.

Somebody's going to have to explain to me why decent pro-democracy people are browbeaten into being "supposed to believe" Nazis who have LIED TO EVERYONE AT EVERY TURN

"Someone was abducted at 10 AM by ICE on Central Ave. Their coworker says they’ve lived here for over 20 years, are documented, and have 3 kids who were born here.

Don’t be fooled by headlines when they’ve been lying to us the whole time. We still need you out patrolling until every agent is gone."

swmnguy's avatar

They've always been here. Used to be INS. Now it's ICE. Whatever. Same thugs.

Now maybe they'll tone down the showy displays of violence, since now they'll be wildly outnumbered everywhere they go.

But they're not leaving. And they're not stopping the assaults on the community, as that video from Councilperson Payne's staffer makes clear.

Of course they abducted a documented person. They can find the documented people, and those in the system lawfully on the path of immigration. They can find them because until 10 weeks ago, none of them were hiding. They didn't think they had to.

That's the other thing they've lost. All the trust of the community, which was the default. Not anymore.

"M"'s avatar

"All the trust of the community, which was the default. "

All the trust of the WHITE community.

Black and (most) Latino and Native American people tried to say something when DHS was first created.

No White person wanted to hear about it -- even after the post-9/11 harassment started on the ground.

But the (unconscious) narcissism in your statement is that the White opinion is the only one that matters ... no matter how many times you end up wrong and no matter what it costs the country.

You have to have better judgment when it comes to listening to people of color the first time something is said when people of color have the facts

Because IF THEY'RE STILL KIDNAPPING PEOPLE I honestly don't care how much "trust' you think you have.

The only reason this is happening is because White people do not care if it's only people of color who are kidnapped, carried off, and enslaved -- AS LONG AS YOU DON'T HAVE TO SEE IT ON TELEVISION

and as long as it's White people who aren't killed or enslaved.

I really wish White people would do more sitting and thinking about that.

Frau Blondie Bondi has been tracking members of Congress review of the Epstein files??? That's unbelievable – and yet Republicans whined about their call logs being looked at in the investigation of the crimes committed on Jan 6th.

This was discovered because of photos taken of Frau Bondi's "oppo research" book from the hearing. She went to that hearing well-prepared to shit all over the Democrats.

"House speaker condemns Trump Justice Department monitoring of lawmakers’ Epstein document review" –https://www.cnn.com/2026/02/12/politics/doj-monitoring-lawmaker-epstein-files-searches

"Attorney General Pam Bondi obtained Democratic Rep. Pramila Jayapal’s search history of the unredacted Jeffrey Epstein files and even President Donald Trump’s most powerful ally in Congress has a problem with it.

“I think members should obviously have the right to peruse those at their own speed and with their own discretion and I don’t think it’s appropriate for anybody to be tracking that,” Johnson told CNN. “I will echo that to anybody involved in the DOJ.”

Johnson’s comments come after photographs of Bondi’s notes during a Wednesday congressional hearing revealed the Justice Department is tracking which documents lawmakers are reviewing in the unredacted Jeffrey Epstein files, prompting some on Capitol Hill to sound the alarm."

StructuralCat PE, SE's avatar

Can we disbar her now? Please?

Snarfyguy's avatar

Okay, so how did Bondi get Jayapal's search history?

Is there a spy in Jayapal's office or what's going on?

Oy!'s avatar

There were DOJ foot soldiers in the room with Jayapal and she was using a DOJ computer.

Snarfyguy's avatar

So the DOJ routinely and illegally monitors Congressional Reps' online activity, is that implication, or am I misunderstanding?

Aquaman, Real Estate Investor.'s avatar

You are misunderstanding.

She was allowed access to a DOJ computer, to view the unredacted Epstein Files. Its the searching she did of the files.

If a staffer didn't warn her that every letter she typed was being recorded she needs better staff.

Snarfyguy's avatar

Ah, I see now, thanks!

swmnguy's avatar

As was required to see the unredacted archive.

Oy!'s avatar

"The surveillance is reminiscent of the CIA’s efforts to spy on Senate intelligence committee staffers who were conducting oversight into the CIA’s interrogation and torture tactics that occurred in the wake of the 9/11 attack."

I remember this. The DOJ at the time did not do shit about it.
