...when the water was safe and sex was dirty... when it was OK to let your kids play in traffic... when playgrounds were built on concrete slabs, like God intended... and none of the equipment had railings or nets... back when if the government wanted to snoop on you, they put a wiretap on your landline and steamed open your paper mail... when instead of worrying about the Mayan calendar we worried about nuclear weapons... when the red states were the ones behind the Iron Curtain... when life was precious and gas was cheap... when there was work available for everyone who wanted it... when Detroit was a stunningly beautiful city, and the engine of America... when there was dignity in labor... when the US economy was based on actually making things, right here... and "Made in America" was a sign of quality... when kids couldn't wait to go and run around outside, because playing indoors was BORING... when parents and school boards wanted school science teachers to teach actual science... when kids learned more things in school beyond simply how to fill in bubbles on answer sheets... and going to school actually made you smarter... when superstition was regarded as a BAD thing... and that improving the access to health care was regarded as a GOOD thing... when instead of waging wars against terrorism, we waged one against poverty... when the Arctic was cold and the South was warm...

The Cajuns aren't particularly fond of the bible-humping fundies. There's a bit of history there.

The oldest book in the library system is just that . . . an old book. "Historic value", yadda yadda. Making it the "generic" KJV makes the contents the official state book. That's a somewhat different proposition -- and I'd bet the fucker had this in mind from the beginning.

Fun with Fundies: Making the link to "oestrus" is a great conversation starter.

Ouch . . . what % of Texans will be happy with that characterization? Like most of the Fox-infected GOPtards, he's blissfully unaware of how "purple" the state really is.

They just do their damndest to try and not enjoy sex. And feel guilty when they fail. And then comes the really important part: hating on anybody who doesn't feel guilty.
