My mom has actually used the phrase "Jew you down" or similar and I just had to say something. She's not racist against black folks (I grew up listening to her Bill Cosby albums - now awkward for other reasons), but she admits she has problems with SE Asians. Racism is a weird, pervasive, and ugly thing.
I don't think it's the first time he's used this phrase even. I think he says it without thought, because he's an unreconstructed racist. This was a mean-spirited dumbass thing to say, said by a mean-spirited dumbass.
