I'm your neighbor in TN-6. My guy isn't as atrocious, but he's still pretty awful. Your district has a shot at flipping if the turnout is good enough. My district is just gross. We've all got to do our part though and show up to cast ballots.
In my line of work, I meet with congressman or their staff at least once a year, sometimes more. I feel bad for his staffers, Ogles seems like a real piece of shit.
A friend worked for a state rep who came in every morning seriously hung over. The staff had to leave him alone in his office long enough for him to get settled in, or he'd bite their heads off.
If they left him alone too long in his office, he'd start sulking that everyone was ignoring him and get all pissy.
No for profit businesses, nonprofit organizations, or regular government agencies would never put up with the shit that elected officials get away with. They'd get sued into oblivion.
Republicans are not sending their best. But that's the base model asshole that's being sent to Congress. He's doing his job, grifting whilst making the world a worse place on behalf of his unreconstructed party. And when you have an unreconstructed party controlling an unreconstructed state, you get the special kind of gerrymandering designed to put unreconstructed clowns like this in office.
So here's another one who's hoping against hope that there's enough Bigot-Americans to sweep President Klan Robe back into power so he can have his monarchy.
