Merry Christmas! I was too tired last night from a long day at the polls to follow along (although I had a pretty good idea) so I woke up this morning to 18 beautiful AP notifications! I was clapping and yelling and dancing a jig in my living room at 6 a.m. watching the news!
OT I would really appreciate any input. Tomorrow I go into mediation with my narcissist ex over a property settlement that he has refused to come to the table in 8 fucking years. He lies like I breathe. I just read his first set of interrogations which are very sparse but those he did answer are lies.
I have documents proving my answers but I have never come out good in anything involving him. He has money and can bury me. If we go to court in March our original judge just made supreme court so that's not good for us. My attorney liked that judge. The ex's attorney is shady and not many like him as I've heard.
I have never been through mediation. My lawyer has instructed me of the details but I'm nervous as shit. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Interesting, but not surprising, that Trump so far has reacted in a way that simply protects his depraved, fragile ego: he says he wasn't really on the ballot, so.... and he will be pleased to work with the "Democrat Party," as illiterate people like him refer to the Democratic Party. Uh-huh. I'm guessing that the basic Dem approach is going to be, "Look jackass, either you agree to our budget, our climate initiative, our healthcare initiative, etc. or we'll investigate and reveal ALL of your vicious crimes and impeach you and your crooked-idiot colleagues every goddamned day."

Trump is entirely transactional, so offer him this deal: he can stay in office the rest of his term, not be impeached, fly around with Natalie in his bribe plane (at his own expense) and golf his remaining brains out. He and his family can keep most of their ill-gotten wealth when he leaves office. In exchange, he signs whatever the Congress sends him, ethics reform for all branches of government, end the war, replace Patel, Hegseth and Blanche and a few others with career professionals, fully fund ACA and SS, support NATO and the Ukraine vigorously, no more fucking tariffs. Crimes committed in the last two years still get prosecuted. Much as I would like to see him and his spawn drawn and quartered, I doubt that's going to happen. I think I would take this deal.

At the end of the day, you have to deal with the realities that (1) the MF did get himself elected, and impeachment just gets you JD, and (2) 1/3 of the electorate is batshit crazy and another 1/3 doesn't show up regularly. Anyway, I'm standing by my phone if Hakeem wants to talk about it.
