I think this is what's been bothering me so much about the defense that tried to make him look like some dumb, doe-eyed Ohio boy who got a bit tipsy and just wanted to get his end away. *He damaged her internally with a foreign object.* This isn't just a spur-of-the-drunken-horny-moment thing, this is long term, deep seated sociopathy.
Seriously, the boy's not right. Maybe he was too drunk to get it up, but giving her internal injuries with a thing is not something you do because you're interested in having sex with a woman.

I know this is going to sound crazy, but I am willing to argue that 100% of the time, rapes are committed by rapists.
Wait, wait, wait....reread my OP. I AM the baby! My father raped my mother creating me in the process. And I don't mind the question. I was adopted as an infant and just found my birth mother a few years ago at the age of 49. We have a great relationship.
Oh, God, this makes soooooo much more sense now! So your mother was raped by your father in college, she gave you up for adoption, and now you know and like her. That's a happy ending! I'm sorry you never got to tell your dad off.

I read an article about the number of women who have a list of places they are "allowed" to go with men because if they don't follow that list - consent is implied and half the time they have to suck them off to get them to leave them alone.
I was appalled. I cried reading it. All this time we've spent fighting and half of us still end up in the same place, on someone's dirty floor, violated and afraid.
I think there are a lot of people that don't seem to understand what rape is. They have this picture in their head of some stranger or think it's okay to kind of threaten a woman or another man but it's okay because normally they're really nice people!
We also need to stop conveniently blaming things on alcohol or young people!
