Of course Dinesh knew these were lies but the goal was to further trick and cheat MAGA...something that guys like Dinesh and Steve Bannon are more than happy to do (for profit).

Distort D'Newza strikes again. He wouldn't know the truth if it struck him in the face with a dead flounder. (Which I would like to see, actually.)

For all his lies and distortions, why isn't he in jail or being fined out of existence? I seem to recall some incident with some college that he set himself up as the president of and him being cashiered out of that position for--oh heavens!--lying about his qualifications.

He has a most punchable face. Still.

not surprising he is extremely racist, as he comes from catholic brahmans that are highly prejudicial of lower casts.

“It’s unbelievable that even after 500 years of being converted, caste exists, and people will proudly tell you ‘My ancestors were Brahmin’,” said Dr Guha, referring to the Christian community in Goa. “Islam, Christianity and Sikhism, in theory preach equality, but in practice, equality doesn’t exist,” he told the audience, mainly students and lecturers of the Goa University.

While at Dartmouth, D'Souza wrote for The Dartmouth Review, an independent, student-edited, alumni and Collegiate Network subsidized publication.[50] D'Souza faced criticism during his time at The Review for authoring an article publicly outing homosexual members of the school's Gay Straight Alliance student organization.[51][52] He also oversaw The Review's publication of "a light-hearted interview" with a former leader of the Ku Klux Klan over a staged photograph of a Black person hanged from a tree; and a piece mocking affirmative action in higher education, written from the point of view of a Black student and phrased in Ebonics.[34]

Highly suspicious geolocation travel patterns. It’s there, in the data, if you squint, bear down like Trump in his classified documents toilet passing a cheeseburger, and tilt your head way to the right.

It’s always in the “data,” the “algorithms” and, if you are a coke addled pillow salesman, source code or packet captures (PCAPs). Except it isn’t. It never is. Mike Lindell was never given any data related to 2020 election fraud, or even data about the election at all. It was just lines of code that turned out to be random information, lists of IP addresses, data about internet service providers, and other arbitrary crap. But it was cryptic enough to fool Lindell and whoever he trusted to look at it. He may have paid for the data, or the data was provided for some other gain, but it purported to be what Lindell hoped it was, and that was good enough for him. Just like the geolocation data was sold to Dinesh and purported to be a smoking gun, evidence that certain people visited voting ballot boxes a suspiciously high number of times. Only the videos weren’t connected to the data, and the data that showed patterns was usually people driving to work everyday, perhaps in the vicinity of a box. But in the minds of extremists and fanatics and bad actors, that’s enough. Unless it’s criminalized and beat back, misinformation will continue to color voter’s perceptions and erode our ability to improve our own lives. 2016 was an introduction, 2020 was a glimpse of our democracy crumbling.

It’s a hallmark of conservative politics. Pray upon people’s fears, vulnerabilities and their own biases. Tell them what they want to hear, and make the truth too much hassle to pay any mind.

Mike Lindell tried it with his millions of lines of coke…I mean code…at his disinformation symposium in 2021. Many people blindly believed he had found the proof that China had manipulated data to change Trump votes to Biden. Except nobody came to the symposium to bask in the radiant glow of validation. They came to debunk the bullshit when Lindell offered $5 million to gin up interest. He may or may not have believed his data was evidence of anything. He was simply gambling. He was gambling that maybe the data was actually pertinent to the election, and maybe it showed manipulation by China or outside forces. If it didn’t, and the data was garbage, he was gambling that it was too cryptic, or too voluminous to analyze and decipher. He gambled and lost. It wasn’t meaningful data, and at least one data expert proved it. Never ever bet $5 million that you are smarter than everyone else. Especially if you are a Trump goon.
