He, or his photographer, was probably trying to make him look winsome and fetching and innocent and sad in that one...maybe they should have gone with one of him staring wistfully off into the distance to really capture that "oh pity me" vibe.

That's just textbook black & white thinking. If THEY'RE patriotic and love America, and someone has different beliefs than they do, then there is no other possibility than they must be evil, America-hating terrorists. Conservatism is a mental illness. They also have that tourettes-like problem where they can ONLY double down on any horrible thing they say and are called out on. They really can't help themselves. It's sad, really.

Can someone please set up Dinesh D'Souza and George Zimmerman so they can go cry in each other's beers and leave the rest of us alone? I wouldn't hate it if Donnie Jr was sent on the same date. Maybe a threesome would open some horizons for these pathetic wastes of space.

Charmer and Felon Dinesh D'Souza as described by ex-wife Dixie:

I'll confess that I hadn't heard about the wife-beating and his putting pressure on his daughter to lie, but that is mostly because the little shit is usually far below my lowest standards of curiosity.

I think there is a blog post in here for me. The root of what you're describing is in social psychology: social identity theory (identity politics) and groupthink. I have written extensively about both on my blog and conservative thinking, but not applied to the extreme demonization that we see in our political rhetoric today.

Overthinking things seems to be my only god-given talent. I agree with your assessment of the current iteration of the conservative movement. I can accept them as misguided, but not as demons.
