Anybody notice that rawstory is just lousy with Salem Media ads?

I hope it's a lawsuit and it completely bankrupts that Christo-fascist propaganda mill.

Now they are sorry. After they helped spread the lies, now they are sorry. After they helped to destroy people's lives and by the way, endanger election workers across the country, now they are sorry.

The question these wingers cannot answer is: if voter fraud is so prevalent and so disfavoring Republicans, how come counties and states with Republican prosecutors aren't convicting people of that kind of crime in droves? The reason is simple: you can say any old shit, but you want a criminal conviction, you need to have evidence. And that evidence isn't there.

It's like someone I was watching was saying: Listen to what they say in court, where lying is punished, as opposed to what they say in front of a microphone where they can spew any old shit that supports their views.

Ta, Robyn. Dinesh D'Felon is disgraceful. Good on the distributor, even if it was coerced by facing bankruptcy.

That said, someone mentioned below that it's your special day: Happy birthday. May your next trip around the sun bless you with love, health, peace, grace, abundance, prosperity, integrity, longevity, laughter, tears, friendship, courage, compassion, creativity, community, and joy. 🌺

2000 jackasses.

Are you referring to Florida during the '2000' vote? Because that would also apply........

I posted down below about seeing a Trumpy Acquaintance today, and wanting to tell her about "2000 Mules." I told her it had been pulled from distribution because of inaccuracies. She seemed surprised, but I was also pleased that she wasn't hotly defensive. She has seen the film, and inquired as to how the video "evidence" of ballot harvesting could be false?

I have not seen the film, but I did point out that clever editing can alter our perceptions very easily. If D'Souza has footage of people dropping off multiple ballots at various ballot boxes, it proves nothing. Besides, if all of this took place in Arizona (not sure, didn't see the film), how does that cause the entire election to be changed? At worst, Trump would get the Arizona electors, and still lose to Biden by a sizeable margin.

She accepted what I said and did not argue.

I don't know if it has been mentioned in this thread but in addition to issuing an apology, Salem had to fork over a significant sum of money to the plaintiff. It is likely that the same will apply to Dinesh D'Felon who is also a defendant in the suit.

Which is why they apologized to him, specifically, and not the other workers they defamed in that shit.

Court mandated apology it is!

Don't forget that Salem had to pull and pulp the initial version of the book to take out the names of some nonprofits that were, whoops, not provably committing voter fraud after all. (That's covered in one of the earlier links above.)

I don't know Salem was actually sued in this case, but that first experience probably softened them up to the point where a nasty letter from a lawyer would make them say, "You know what? This shit isn't worth it. Let's pull the fucking plug and forget about D'Souza."

now whenever someone brings up 2000 Mules you can be like 'oh. that sounds interesting. where can i watch that?' and when they discover 'nowhere' is the answer you can ask them why it isn't available anywhere. maybe see if they can put two and two together with as much vigor as they do towards making ridiculous conspiracies "connect".

But the MAGAts CAN, and WILL. The very fact that it was removed will serve as confirmation that it was correct. "THEY" don't want you to KNOW the truth, you see. "THEY" cancelled that film because it exposed that truth, not because it was WRONG, or COMPLETE FICTION, and the MAGAts will double down.

There was likely an out of court settlement for $$$$ with the “apology” being a stipulation to prevent a suit from being filed.

Let's pull Dinesh D'Souza off a platform. Maybe the A Train.

They were perfectly happy pushing the lie UNTIL it looked like they could get sued. The damage is done because the lie is broadcast far and wide and the admission of the lie is buried. Hell yes he should still sue them. Punitive damages should be the first thoughts in their head before they even publish so that they to do their due diligence and fact check.

He should still sue them all, IMO.

Pulling the shit down isn't enough. They caused real harm to real people. Pay up. Maybe next time some right wing asshole comes forward with this great story that sounds too good to be true but will probably rake in obscene gobs of money, people will think twice after seeing what poor Salem Media Group went through.
