So the Trump administration is attacking the SPLC on behalf of the KKK for the crime of infiltrating the Klan and exposing Klan leaders.

Ta, Marcie. SPLC is one of the organizations to which I've given some money.

I'm getting so weary of promises to bring charges "when we can."

I would like to see a specific list of actions that we could vote for.

I would be happier seeing some specifics about how incompetent federal agencies are going to turn on a dime and actually prosecute. At the rate things are going, all the principals will be dead and their grandkids will be living on "old money" stolen from the starving and the dead who died waiting for American food that was promised them by one administration and denied them by the next.

I would like any politician who wants to change parties be forced to run for the seat and explain themselves to their presumed constituents.

I want to see the thieves of our dignity, our pride, and the promise of liberty we've so utterly failed at, hanged, on the White House Lawn where MAGA wanted to hang Mike Pence.

And I want required classes in elementary and junior high school, home school curricula, and high schools to require Constitutional Civics as its own course. Not buried in history class.

Every citizen who doesn't vote in three successive elections get penalty-taxed for failure by the IRS unless they show they were prevented.

Every citizen qualifies to vote by demonstrating knowledge of both the Bill of Rights and of current events.

Your mileage may vary. But I, like you, am tired of the level of incompetence and amorality that late- stage capitalism, privacy erosion, and the digital era has ushered in.

If we can't trust ourselves, maybe we need to reconsider how Germany rebuilt itself.

There will be no Marshall Plan for us. We have to do it ourselves.

SPLC should name DOJ as a hate group....

(that won't inflame things AT ALL)

Why is that Neil Young song about Alabama going thru my head right now?

This bullshit is the same as the ActBlue bullshit is the same as all their bullshit: Make 'em spend time and money on the courts. It's called "Faux Winning"

Sooo…are the SPLC’s targets *bad* or are they *good*? Kash and Leon’s xeets say the latter, this case, the former. Make up your minds, Mussolinis!

There's that old saying, "politics is Hollywood for ugly people". I propose another version: "fascism is politics for stupid people".

Oh damn, I have been trying to remember who did that Harley David song for *years*.

I've been supporting SPLC a little bit over the years. I tried to donate again this morning, but couldn't get past their captcha BS. Guys, I was tryna give YOU money!

Hank Napkin's avatar

Thank you. I just doubled my monthly donation to SPLC. Fuck Trump. Fuck MAGA.

Fun fact : The Klan grew to the size it was because it was a pyramid scheme. Where the more people you recruited the more they kicked back to you.

Thats also why they have so many ranks and titles and made a fortune selling white sheets.

They are the AmWay of racism.

(Which kind of based its membership model after them)

mzf's avatar

Ah AmWay. The best way to destroy friendships. I had friends who invited me over to their home. After some chitchat, the Amway spiel started. It didn't go well and the friendship part petered out pretty quickly.

The DOJ's lawfare against SPLC just reaffirms the value of every donation I've made to the group for the past few decades. Looks like I'm doing it right.
