'Richest country in the world' my entire ass. We produce enough for everybody to be housed and fed and clothed. The Party of Greed (POG) is a problem catering to the wealthiest people on earth.

Just don't ask, don't tell. States should give benign neglect to efforts to identify "aliens" within their borders. My experience in a small town was that the cops never asked about immigration status of minor offenders - even when the perps they encountered were almost certainly undocumented. Not their job to enforce federal laws. So, fuck off, Homan and Blanche.

So Trump now thinks he almost died on 9/11. Is someone going to tell him didn't?

>>Trump on 9/11: "I just thank my people. I was building a big building in New York & I took the whole crew down there right after this happened & they had no hesitation. Everybody went down with me... we thought it was coming down on top of us... two fireman lifted me up and started running with me"<<

The party of loud Christians who claim this is a Christian country are for these policies that starve to kill the poor. Maga Christian charity only helps oneself to grift monies. Charity is now suicidal empathy unless it is to help a first degree genetic relative — Pontius Elon

Courts? Laws??? Pfft....

***

Missouri's redistricting war has spiraled into chaos, and observers say the state's own emergency filing to the U.S. Supreme Court hints that county officials could defy the courts to keep the Republican map alive.

In a reply brief to the justices, Attorney General Catherine Hanaway argued that the Missouri Supreme Court "derailed an imminent federal congressional election" when it threw out the GOP's "Missouri First" map for November. Buried in that same filing is a line that political reporter Mark Maxwell warned should worry anyone who cares about orderly elections.

The map, drawn last year at President Donald Trump's urging, sliced Democratic Rep. Emanuel Cleaver's Kansas City district into pieces to hand Republicans a 7-1 edge, and it already ran the August primary. Last week, the state's high court unanimously blocked it for the general election, restored the old lines, and sent the map to voters as a November referendum. Hanaway lost her bid to pause that ruling and raced to Washington.

Now, her brief concedes, "local election officials in counties are now left to make individual decisions" on whether to follow the order or stick with the map used in the primary while they wait on a federal court. Maxwell warned that the filing signals officials could defy the state Supreme Court and keep the Republican map anyway, "which would be absolute chaos. The state court explicitly forbade this."

Honestly, the government should end pretty much all farm subsidies, save things like SNAP and they need to restart USAID, though they won't.

And abolish Chapter 12 bankruptcy.

OT Breaking: "Trump tells how he was at the Twin Towers when they collapsed, picked off ground by big firefighters."

No, he is actually claiming this.

He has to be the bride at every wedding and the corpse at every funeral. Considering that the 9/11 25th anniversary memorial is coming up, he's literally trying to be the corpse at a funeral.

Fat fuck doesn't seem to realize that the dead have nothing to say, so perhaps he should start by shutting the fuck up.

OT: I have a client who will text me from time to time asking me if business is quiet out there. I invariably respond with "yes", because it is when she asks me. Her reply to my response was "This sucks."

I would love to respond to that with "Who did you vote for?" I won't though, because I've known her forever and she gave me a grey kitten who became the currently 18 year old Hobbs!!

You're a better person than I. I have cut off all relationships with extreme prejudice with *any* MAGA shitbags or even garden-variety Republican shitbags in my life.

I can't remain friendly with someone who votes for this shit. I can't. I refuse. I decline.

And if that makes me a bitch, then I embrace it.
