If you don't deal with the facts, you can't find a solution.

absolutely, I phrased that poorly. It definitely makes a big difference in those very important practical ways.

I think it makes a difference re the target and the police response. Domestic crimes are tough for the police to handle because the people involved have an intimate relationship with one another.

Misogynist hate crime is a form of terrorism aimed at women. The target can be any woman at any time or place. This is clear-cut and the police have a better handle on it, but they really need to treat it as terrorism.

I don't know that it makes all that much of a difference. Misogynist hate crime tends to be fairly indiscriminate a lot of the time, like most hate crime. Either any & all women are to suffer for the perceived sins of one or two or one or two suffer for the sins of many.

I'm not sure he even knew his victims. He just hated women and felt entitled to control them.

The majority of terrorism in the world is committed by males, usually right-wing/fundamentalist. Perhaps that should be the profile instead of "Muslim." (Not suggesting this for real. Most males, like most Muslims, are not terrorists.)
