Are the Russians slowly going to string him along, then when he cannot help them anymore, just burn him? Like, release some secret material on the guy? I'm sure they like the current commotion, but making him into the Manchurian Candidate would cause all sorts of problems with allies and bring the country's reliability into question.

My only caveat about G.W. is that I've always thought he was a figurehead and that Cheney and Rumsfeld were the tandem president. Bush is a dolt. That's what I thought about Reagan, as well. He had early stage dementia and was a puppet for the National GOP. Just my opinion. Doesn't make the damage any less devastating, for sure. Also, makes me worry even more about Trump because I think of him as an out-of-control Frankenstein.
