Donald Trump Isn't backing off from his insistence that the borders are completely open and that most of those crossing are criminals, thugs, and thuggish criminals, but he is at least becoming vaguely aware that this stance may not be universally loved. On Fox & Friends Saturday, Trump took the opportunity to explain that his immigration views were vindicated because a man who'd been deported five times was charged with murder in San Francisco last week, which simply proves that illegal immigrants are bad news.
We have many cases like this, but nobody wants to talk about it. It seems like I'm sort of the whipping post because I bring it up, and I don't understand, 'cause whether you're liberal, whether you're conservative, whether you're Republican, Democrat, why wouldn't you talk about a problem? There's tremendous crime, and it's the, you know, illegal immigration is just incredible. You know, you talk about terrorism, and the terrorists, they're going to come in from the southern border, too, because it's the easiest thing, you just walk right in. What's going on in the country is incredible [...] The crime is raging. It's raging, and it's violent, and people don't even want to talk about it. And if you talk about it, you're a racist. I don't understand it.
Honestly, there's just no arguing with airtight logic like that -- here we have an actual murderer who's an illegal immigrant, and yet some people continue to insist that not all immigrants are murderers, which is certainly not borne out by this very true tragic story. And yet, even some Republicans think that Donald Trump is not right! And also a bunch of companies that he has had to fire after they fired him, just because he says that Mexicans are mostly rapists and drug smugglers, with, he supposes, some good people too.

This betrayal is just puzzling to Trump, who is only a little worried about it, because he's so rich. And sure, maybe NASCAR doesn't want to hold its annual awards at his resort, but he'll fill that room, because it's really a classy place. Trump merely wants to make America great again, which it is not now, but will be with President Trump, because what could be greater than that? And it has nothing to do with keeping his name in the media, because actually this is not helping his brand, he acknowledges:
For the people who say I'm doing it for my brand -- this isn't good for my brand. I think it's bad for my brand. You know, maybe I'm leading in polls, but this is certainly not good. I lose customers, I lose people. I had one of the top shows on television, The Apprentice, and I decided not to do it, because I wanted to do this. I mean, who gives up a top, top show? Plus I gave up hundreds of millions of dollars in deals while I'm doing this, and then you hear about the NASCAR, and you hear about an NBC...that drop Trump because Trump wants safety in the United States.
We suppose that it might be churlish to point out that Trump "gave up" The Apprentice after NBC fired his racist ass, which is one of those minor details that liberals always nitpick about. And yet, because he loves America so much, he is willing to continue standing up to the murderers and rapists, and thank God some people recognize that Trump is doing the right thing to keep America safe from all the violent immigrants and make America great again, thank you very much.

I've canoed across the US-Canadian border (legally), in the Boundary Waters. On the Canadian side you apply, by mail, for a Remote Area Border Crossing permit, on the US side you show your passport in Ely afterwards.
Mahalo! We are now back to being justifiably left! Molotov!
