Trump gives out the PMF award to his friends, his donors, and other various and sundry right wing heroes, deserving or not (I mean seriously, Jim Jordan?). The Medal of Honor is given out to REAL, ACTUAL heroes, alive or dead. It's not surprising that Trump doesn't understand the difference.
Completely unsurprising that the only time John Kelly can be bothered to say anything about the monster he helped enable is to say something here. He obviously DGAF about anything but Supportin Tha Troops
It is not the Congressional Medal of Honor, you sick fuck, it is the Medal of Honor. Which, BTW, not awarded to slime balls from Queens who claims his war was not getting STDs. Funny thing, you actually have syphilis, have someone who can read, read you the bio of your role model Alphonse (only a wanna gangster jerk off would call him that) Capone.
First year of teaching. Senior girl’s boyfriend who had graduated a year before and immediately drafted came home from VN with a third of his head missing. Literally. Mortar round. I invited him to come in to class to talk about his experiences. Labored talk and motion, he did a great job. Two classes of 30 seniors each gave him their full attention and showed many times the respect that t…p, a former “commander-in-chief,” shows. I hope those 60 former students, now in their 70s, remember this when they vote.
"...and hadn’t even lost an eye or a limb or sustained brain damage in combat, and therefore did not remind Donald Trump of the inevitable physical decay and mortality that comes for us all, whether we are badly injured fighting in a misbegotten war at the age of 20 or growing old eating McRibs on our gold toilet."
Some of that, maybe. But mostly a personal rebuke. Trump really, really wants to think of himself as a macho hero when in fact he is a pussy who claims as his "personal Vietnam" his terror that one of the random skags who he badly wanted to fuck would give him AIDS.
Big, boastful he-man is a fucking coward and he knows it in his bones. It's why he hates veterans, especially the ones who's courage is visible for all to see by way of the price they paid for it. It's hard to lie to yourself when a man who's missing his legs is looking you calmly in your eye and wordlessly saying, "I have what it takes, and you don't."
Miriam Adelson? How fitting for Republicans to celebrate the dirty money of someone who vacuumed up lucre in drugs, prostitution and gambling! Russia and its satellites in Israel, Nevada and Florida should take pride in how awful they make the GOP look through proxies like Donald "Tiny Hands" Trump.
I remember the first time I saw a wounded veteran. It was at the VA hospital where my mom worked, and I was about 10 or 11. He was in a wheelchair, missing a leg, the rest of him looking scrawny and frail, wrapped in a hospital robe and pajamas. His face was unshaven and miserable.
Seeing him, my heart sank as I realized that there were thousands and thousands like him all over America and the world. All wounded in World War II. That was the first time it was brought home to me that real war isn't a John Wayne movie.
"Two days later, a reporter caught Trump backstage at one of his campaign rallies where he didn’t get shot and asked him to clarify"

If there's a more complete waste of time than this, I cannot think what it is.
We've seen the pattern innumerable times:
1. T***p publicly says [disgusting thing].
2. His cult followers scramble to deny reality by insisting that he never said it/he was being sarcastic/it was taken out of context/it was a joke/the media is trying to make him look bad because nobody likes... I mean, nobody UNDERSTANDS him, not REALLY, not like WE do.
3. T***p is asked to clarify/retract/whatever [disgusting thing]. Instead of doing so, he doubles down and says, "Hell, yeah, I said [disgusting thing]! And also, [brand new, even more disgusting thing]!"
4. Cult followers who were rushing to deny [disgusting statement] a day ago cheer wildly.

They're right about one thing, if nothing else on earth: He says what he means.
"Because his brain is pudding." Now I'm envisioning Ron De'Can'tis opening up the top of rage yam's skull, like Hannibal Lector, and scooping out his brains with his short, pudgy fingers.
Nor his grades, nor his tax returns, nor his health care plan, nor his infrastructure plan, nor the results of those dementia tests that the doctors keep giving him for some reason...

There's research coming out, that soldiers can suffer a form of CTE from repeated exposure to explosions. The shock waves travel through the body and do micro damage to the brain. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-08-20/elite-adf-soldiers-concern-blasts-from-own-weapons-brain-injury/104154038?utm_source=abc_news_app&utm_medium=content_shared&utm_campaign=abc_news_app&utm_content=other

One is an award. The other is a DECORATION. The difference is obvious to anyone. Except one very stable genius. Who isn't called 'Mr Ed'.

Bill Cosby libelz!

“When you get the Presidential Medal of Freedom, it’s usually for other things, like you’ve achieved great success in sports…
Can that one Olympic pole vaulter get a Medal of Free(dom) Willy?
You know the one 😜
Maybe a different medal. It could be called Triumph of the Willy.
The pole vaulter is French. So right out.

Hollywood always softens the butcher's bill.
"It's actually much better because it's based on looks, like those beauty pageants I used to barge in on."
Well, come on. Trump has to use violence or money to get near any woman. It's not like he's going to charm anybody with his conversational ability.

So he'd rather get an award he didn't have to sacrifice for? Like a sorry of participation trophy?
We've still never seen Trump's DNA test results.
Nor his grades, nor his tax returns, nor his health care plan, nor his infrastructure plan, nor the results of those dementia tests that the doctors keep giving him for some reason...
