My way of life doesn't include bigots, misogynists, rapists, or anti-choice nuts. Do I have the right to force them to live on a deserted island somewhere?

Evan my Southern (younger) brother, strong agreements. Let's take away that phrase 'our way of life' from the assholes. 'Our way of life' is respectful of differences and appreciative of diversity. Our way of life celebrates the SCOTUS decision on marriage. Our way of life is like, 'yay feminism, seriously'. Our way of life acknowledges and deplores and works to overcome systemic oppression, exploitation, and disadvantage (fuck you Mike Pence and your 'don't talk about it because divisive'). Our way of life is like, 'Hey, the environment, it's for real.' Our way of life resists demonizing and scapegoating human beings -- including, sigh, the demonizing and scapegoating of conservatives (right on, Pastor Willson!). Etc.

And hey, look, Afro-American president, SCOTUS marriage decision, lady major party pres. candidate -- and BIG reactionary hoohaw 'cause they SCARED for 'their way of life' -- look people 'our way of life' is winning, yeah too slowly, yeah sad stuff every f'ing day, yeah too much anger everywhere, yeah it sucks Trump will get even one vote, but damn right WINNING! Or so I choose to see it.

This Southern Christian liberal would be sad to see you leave ... could we maybe join you if you find a nice spot? We're very easy neighbors ...

Similar background here -- North Little Rock, AR in the early 70s -- small enough city and a tough federal court, so (at the time anyway) desegregation actually worked, so pretty good integrated schools ... but here's my point: even if you asked your mother, she might not 'know' -- we weren't 'racist' -- but we were, if you know what I mean ...

She'd deny it til the cows came home, fer sure. When accused of racism she says, "But my supervisor at work for 40 years was black and I like her!" /facepalm She is in her 80's though and I don't even bother to try to change her. It is what it is.

Ken Burns' "Prohibition" series does a fantastic job of highlight the anti-Catholic attacks that Al Smith faced from Prohibitionists and the ASL while running for President.

I respect NOTHING!

To paraphrase one of my favourite Jon Stewart quotes ever, I, Edith Prickly, hate Wonderbread, scrapbooking, Applebees, MORALITY - and I will not rest until every Sunday families are forced to worship at Hillary's FEMA Camp homo-bortion pot-and-commie-jizzporiums.
