Ugh, I have to stop. The above partial list does not include incidents where the cops shot someone who was a) not even acting in a menacing manner (e.g., Ousmane Zongo) or b) actually did have or reach for a weapon (of which there are many, most of them justified).
So are you saying that an armed community is a peaceful community? If violence begets violence, and non-violence begets violence. then what do we do to prevent violence?
Conservatives are motivated by the sense that progress and change are going to result in things being taken away from them*, so this kind of conversation is quite consistent with a conservative point of view, albeit one that is well along toward the extreme end.
*Or on the more moderate end, that something important and valuable will be lost.
