She knew a lot about the business and could have been quite helpful to the young people on staff, if she could have conveyed it in anything but a condescending, humiliating, hostile, ''I'm always right'' manner. In fact it took me awhile to catch on to her, because she'd shoot down your opinion but you could think, ''Oh, sure, I see she's right.'' It's when you see this too much that you realize she was ALWAYS right. Had to be.
I could tick off her other worst qualities, but I'll let it suffice to say that she checks about 10 of these boxes, some emphatically:
I have known a (very few) women who were very squicky about receiving oral sex. I always wondered what was up with that. (And though maybe not a world champion, I *am* competent. The reticence was observed, in any case, before anything had really transpired.)
I saw an interview above that suggested their real value was that they spanned all the affected agencies and centralized planning and coordination, as opposed to the disjointed clusterfuck we presently have.
Perhaps. But I have read that many experts characterize this as relapse rather than re-infection. There's a lot we don't know yet.

There are certainly anecdotes about people getting it, having it run its course, recovering, and then getting it again.
There will be some other unimaginable disaster by the time Halloween rolls around, and this will all be virtually forgotten.
