Went to the liquor store today and waited in the parking lot until all of the customers had left. Two guys stumbled out of a truck and walked in without masks and promptly walked right back out again. Got t-shirts from their truck and wrapped them around their heads.
Masks are required at all places of business in MI and it is being enforced.
Grocery store, pet food store, vet, meat shop and liquor store. Everyone wore a mask.
I loved in Atlanta for 6 months. This was my first time living in the US ( in 1991). I was so appalled by the amounts of butter, honey, syrup , grease etc that accompanied every meal. I will never, ever understand why people put syrup on their sausages or butter on their pancakes. I grew up in the UK - pancakes have lemon and a sprinkle of sugar or maybe some fresh fruit
Me too. But so much of the focus is on the dice throwing, and rotating partners means you don't have to talk to anyone for too long. I always tried to be scorekeeper for my tables. That way I don't have to get involved in the chit chat too much.
For those unfamiliar, each season had a different setting and theme song. I liked the Baltimore Sun setting, where I learned how to use ‘evacuate’ properly. Buildings (e.g.) are evacuated, not people (except in a medical setting, ewwww).
Fear not—no spoiler. One season had an introductory clip of a tomboy thug buying “something at a store.” It is obvious that it is for nefarious purposes, but the gobsmacking reveal comes many episodes later, and it all makes sense.
Same here.
Has anyone suggested the NYT reference Arkel v. Pressdram in any further correspondence?
EDIT: Yes. They have.

It was great!
This makes me very happy.
Even at 1970s prices, it's a bargain!
The operational definition of a lowbrow.
So, what is Lumpy's claim for damages? It can't be his reputation as a journalist because you can't sue for negative dollar amounts.

I live in a minority white town. African-Americans were early and enthusiastic adaptors of the masks.
Such a good show. I couldn't watch the 4th season (I think it's the 4th) because it takes place in the public schools and man, it is just too real.
I believe "demonrats" is the preferred nomenclature.
Sorry, that one was just for me ;)
I'm a 3,5,6. With a wistful, parting gaze at 1.
In the night-time...
Who is that guy, anyways? Doesn't even have that thick, luscious Hannity hair. Whatta loser.
That’s a potent recommendation.
